LOL I don't tip anyone to sit and talk. As a general rule, the way strippers get money from me is by doing VIPs. No problem if sitting and talking to the girls is the main thing you want, but for me, I don't see the point of paying them to talk. Same reason I draw a hard line on SA -- when there's sex, there's "allowance", but no compensation for get-to-know-you meetings, ever.

SJG: The vast, vast majority of strippers I"ve met NEED some chemical courage to dance. The one and only difference is, in an alcohol club you indulge with her, whereas in a dry club, she does it in the back with other strippers. Beyond that, as a practical matter, it seems to be far more taxing to be at a dry club (which, in SF, also means all-nude and extras), and if anything I think those girls party even harder, with harder drugs.

Whoa there champ! I agree with you ... I wasn't talking about guys who specifically do not like socializing, for example -- agree it's all about the experience you want for yourself. But a lot of guys start off not buying strippers drinks on principle -- and I get it, you already feel like you're being played for a sucker left and right, so a newbie might feel like he's not going to "fall for" drinks... but, except at clubs where a drink means a $25 no-alcohol "dancer drink", that's where penny-wise/pound-foolish comes in. If you do want to get a lot of front room action (lol, feel like a douche just saying that), drinks are the 2nd best deal in the club, in many clubs.
You low-socialization guys who don't have the intestinal fortitude to follow SJG's system, yeah, sure, no drinks :)

I will add that on top of enjoying drinking with strippers -- unlike Papi, I love the social aspect -- I will repeat what I've said many times here: buying the stripper a drink is the 2nd best deal in the club (#1 deal is buying her food). Once we decide we're going to do a shot ($4.50, so $13 for two shots plus tip), the amount of time I get: 5-10 minutes waiting for waitress, 5-10 minutes waiting for drink to come, up to 15 minutes post-drinking buzz & flirting. As a practical matter, as much as 30 minutes of her time for $13. And in the low-touch clubs I go to, I actually touch her far more at the table, than I could in a $20 lapdance!
$13: up to 30 minutes of socializing, flirting, and groping (rarely, including digital penetration). And a shot!
-- versus --
$140: 30 minutes (7 lap dances) of incredibly low-touch lap dances, touching thighs and an occasional butt cheek swipe.
I'm glad some of the penny-wise/pound-foolish customers don't buy the girls drinks, though. More for me!

In this area, the most fun experiences (for me) are alcohol no-extras clubs. I do take an occasional trip to a no-alcohol extras club; I usually don't have as much fun at those clubs, but that has less to do with the lack of alcohol than it does with the fact that the extras clubs aren't that great in this area. Once in a while I get a CF at a no-alcohol extras club, and when that happens, I bring a water bottle with me and fill it with vodka, and the two of us drink it together (and sometimes, her friends come hang out and indulge in my water-vodka also). But the poor value at extras clubs here keeps me from doing this regularly

Okay, to be serious ... I think the keystone cops like adventure Darkblue had should only ever happen ONCE before a PL learns his lesson. I had an ATF -- she was, in fact, my ATATF at the time, though has since been far surpassed -- who operated similarly to DB's girl. The reason I was able to stick with her is that I figured out that she was an absolute mess, and that if I wanted to continue to experience the mind-blowing sessions with her in the club, I'd have to work around it. In her case, I quickly learned that even if she texts me "I'm leaving in 15 minutes to go to the club, be on the floor in an hour", sometimes she ghosts in that short amount of time (I still have no idea why)... so, until she texts me "I'm at the club getting dressed", I'd just sit tight.

Like any person, strippers can have good or bad days; this might be hard to notice in many other jobs, but in something so intensely personal where very intimate interaction is required, even a small change in attitude might be readily apparent. But beyond that, IME strippers are far more inconsistent than your average civilian. The way they live their lives, from crisis to crisis (often of their own making), they often have all kinds of drama at home, and they often have drama at work, they have very few coping skills, and often have traumatic life histories to deal with on top of all of this. You just can't expect consistency out of them, the way you expect consistency out of your coworkers
That said, perhaps because I tend to CF/ATF, and weed out super inconsistent girls very quickly, I usually don't find wild swings to be the rule. Once in a while, she'll blow me away in a way I didn't expect, or have a bad day where she doesn't meet expectations, but things with a CF tend to be steadier
