If you are going to be downtown at the casinos, you have your choice of Bouzoukis and Legends. If you are staying at Greektown, you can literally walk to both, and forgo the Uber or cab altogether. If you are staying at either Motorcity or MGM, you'll have to get a ride. But it's quick. 5 minute drive to those two clubs. I'd recommend Legends out of the two of them:
Flight club and Penthouse are the most expensive and both you will need a fairly long drive to from downtown (most clubs are on Detroits city limits, and Detroits city limit area is quite large.)
Depending on what day you are going to be in town, Friday and Saturday nights can be very busy at many of the clubs. Week nights not so much, but can still get busy. Day shifts during the week are more casual and not as busy.
For mid price clubs, people have been giving good reviews to cricket in Dearborn and Landing strip in Romulus. I personally like Players and to some extent Coliseum (both are close by each other) but you will need to take an Uber or cab to any of those.
