lame club becomes very lame

Was driving by and decided to stop in after a long time away from HB's. Nothing much has changed about the building and the costs over the years. I previously compared this to a mcdonalds or wallmart of strip clubs. Consistent service but not gourmet by any means. First difference I noticed was that there were not a large number of dancers or patrons this afternoon. Normally there is a crowd at lunch eating food and spending money. Not today. About 6 dancers working that I counted. 1 on stage, 1 on the floor hustling dances and the rest seemed to be hibernating. I ordered a $1.50 beer and watched the stage show for about 20 minutes before a dancer finally approached. She asked about dances right away and only suggested the 5 for $60 option upstairs. I figured what the hell- research is a tough job- somebody's got to do it.

At the top of the steps we paid the dance monitor and she asked me to buy her a $7 drink. I did and we jumped into one of the little rooms they use. Cameras are watching you so, while private, things are closely monitored. the dances were OK. light grindage and very minor brushes with lil jimmyb. Songs seemed to be around 3 minutes each so about 15 minutes. Honestly it was kind of boring or I have just become very jaded to the whole lap dance thing. I started thinking about things on my to-do list and was ready for it to be over as it didn't seem like it was going to get any more depraved.

I returned downstairs and debated trying my luck with another (again- purely for research) and gave myself 2 more songs to see what would happen. Nothing did, so I skated out.Even if i was passing by again with time to kill and money to burn, I would keep on driving.
