Straight outta tha NC, comin' atcha with an AK ready to steal your daughter. ROAR!!!
@NiceSpice: I read a news story about the Tampa Zoo. They’re moving all of their animals into hurricane proof shelters. Except for the alligators. The alligators will stay submerged in the water and ride the whole thing out just fine.

I'm fine. I'm disgusted with my life and myself, but I'm not unhappy about that.
@Hank wrote “you mean to tell me the best person you could find for a quote was the owner of Goddess?”
Talking to the owner of the Goddess probably got them footage of a stripclub’s interior on the local newscast.
A perfect excuse for a sweet ratings bump from all those viewers who’ve never stepped foot into a SC.
In the ratings game, it’s second only to “If it bleeds, it leads.”

Updated news report on the fire.
https://www.wbaltv.com/article/massive-6-alarm-fire-strikes-restaurant-downtown-baltimore/62320790
According to the report, other businesses attached to the Goddess were extensively damaged by the fire. But the Goddess building itself appears to be relatively intact. Video of the main floor shows no apparent damage. But the club’s upper floors had their windows knocked out. The club will certainly be closed for repairs and cleanup. But it seems it will reopen relatively soon.

While the Review Guidelines are clear on what is expected of a review, I think providing a couple of good sample reviews would also help serious first-time reviewers. Of course, as CMI said, that won’t solve laziness.

Yes, most, but not all, of the dancers at Haven have chemical dependency issues, whether alcohol, pills or street drugs.

Given a choice I’d rather not see tan lines. But on my list of features I look for in a dancer to spans time with, tan lines are close to the bottom of the list. So in reality they don’t really matter.

There was a political & law enforcement pressure campaign against the Prince George’s county strip clubs before COVID that I suspect harmed many of the clubs that ended up closed. I have no direct knowledge about Super F., but I wouldn’t be surprised if that played a role too.

I was there a few years years ago. I got a dance from several girls. All the dances were pretty much “sit on your hands” and occasional light grinding at best. Enjoy the view, ‘cause that’s all you’re gonna get there.

Agreed! In the Maryland listings, it make more sense to organize the majority of clubs under Baltimore City than the neighborhoods that were previously broken out within the city.
It’s still a little puzzling to see two closed clubs listed under Maryland that are actually located in West Virginia and Iowa.

I think rotating my iPad from landscape to portrait helped find the login link too.

I’m having the same login problem on my iPad.
Ended up clicking on one of the pages in the left column and then using the “hamburger” to reach the login page.

Chaps moved from their original “shack” to the adjacent concrete building in the parking lot. I think it used to be an auto repair shop.
I haven’t been in the renovated building yet. I fear I’m going to miss the ambiance of their original building.

If I’m sitting with one of my favs, there’s no issue asking her to break a $20. Especially if the bar tender is busy. She’ll going to rubber band the singles into a $20 stack and exchange with the bartender anyway. And I tip her a dollar or two that I would have given her in some manner anyway. It’s all good; works out for everyone.

I think another useful feature would be to add “Advertisement/SPAM” as a reason for rejecting an Article. I’ve been recently rejecting many articles for this particular reason.

I’m not a business man, but here’s my read.
I think it’s a combination of several factors:
The overall reduction in demand for stripclubs.
Foreplay/Hustler occupied a large space on expensive real estate.
Therefore, the volume of business needed to make something that size profitable just isn’t there.
Hustler in particular aimed for the higher end of the market, but over the years, Penthouse was able to dominate that portion of the SC market in Baltimore.
Most other clubs in Baltimore are much smaller and can adjust easier to lower demand. Especially as some of them have closed in the past few years.
Also, Three shootings on The Block in the past two years (twice at Foreplay, one in Norma Jean’s) doesn’t help either.
I suspect eventually (within the next ten years), economic pressures will cause most of The Block will bulldozed and redeveloped. I’d like to see the building housing Foreplay/Norma Jeans/Indulge and a couple of other businesses survive, but that wish may be too optimistic.

I also agree with Hank Moody’s points. Especially #1, #5 and “The review approval process ain’t broke.”
I’d also like to be able to filter the Dancer Directory by state. Rather than sort by Last Post or Last Comment.

The article doesn’t expressly state one way or the other, but I have to think he is eligible for a Darwin Award.
