@stiletto25. The katois (lady/men) in Thailand work principally in the sex trade normally *as* katois. Should someone be fooled it is usually a case of cultural ignorance on their part rather than deception by the katoi. In Mexico and the Philippines the line of work is *generally* the same but the deception aspect is common place.

Nice summation. A few things to add:
If you go into a club that pats you down and uses metal detectors don’t assume that none of the other patrons are armed. They are. The security check is meant to keep out the weapons of rivals or unknowns. The local gang that claims the club, the local respected big shots and the police/army (on or off duty) will likely be armed. So don’t bring a loud gringo voice to a gun fight.
It is uncomfortably common for locals to buy you a drink particularly in the local mid and lower range clubs. Uncomfortable because you know they can’t really afford it. Don’t refuse it and insult them by doing so but don’t take advantage. Acknowledge it with a nod and reciprocate when possible but also don’t allow yourself to be taken advantage of. Quietly buy a round or better still buy your new friend a dance if in the appropriate situation.
Lastly, for the OP. “Do you have a Zapata moustache and a tatoo of the Virgin of Guadalupe on your chest or back? I didn't think so...†Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to assume. ;)

Last thing I want is for my business card (real or fake) to turn up in some dead hooker’s purse. Suggest you re-think what you're talking about (all of it).

" these are some of the best strip clubs on the planet! " // Put the crack pipe down and step away from the skanky whore. Colombia, Brazil, Denmark, Philippines, Thailand. Hell, one night in Bangkok and you’ll realize that even though those Vegas strippers are not really good looking they sure are unfriendly and expensive.

Backstory. Biker bar. Society’s rules don’t really apply, not even as guidelines.

I've dated 4 dancers in my time. None of them provided extras ITC/OTC but more to the point, I was never "The Boyfriend". I didn't date them because they were hot (they were) or to have bragging rights but rather because they were so fascinating. For anyone contemplating a relationship, let me save you a lot of time and trouble. Fascinating translates into even more screwed up than I was. I think that for a guy to cross the line into being "The Boyfriend" that he must be even more screwed up than dancers are.

Minnow - Palomino is in the seperate city of North Las Vegas. Same county ordinance applies but they were grandfathered which is why no competition has sprung up. Cab fare from the north end of the strip runs about $20 and the driver gets a headhunter fee from the club (like most clubs). So far there has always been at least one cab waiting outside the club late at night when I've left.

Don't be too forgiving. Most dancers are not ignorant of the potential consequences. Some years back I met a dancer and we clicked from the get go. On about my third visit she became extra friendly. When I got home, covered in stench and body glitter, I looked in the mirror to discover my face completely smeared with bright red lipstick. I don't know if it was a test (I never asked) but it was most definitely intentional. BTW, she became one of the very few dancers that I agreed to date.

Agree with the comments about the Palomino. Much lower pressure and a more relaxed experience. There is no cover charge for locals so if you drive yourself or take a cab to Jerry's Nugget Casino and walk across the street, they are likely to ask if you are a local. Say yes. Other non-mega club options (dive clubs) are Club Platinum and my favorite Chicas Bonitas. CB is two doors down from the Palomino but it is definitely an acquired taste. If you have limted time stick with the Palomino though CB is a place that has a lower turnover of dancers so you can establish longer term relationships.

I returned to LV for the first time after 15 years this summer and continue to visit 5-6 days per month. The changes are shocking and for the worse. Went back to the OG which I used to really enjoy. I hate what they've done to the place as it was a class act club with only Top Shelf talent. I asked a long time dancer what happened. She said it was a case of over expansion (too many clubs) and the competition amoung clubs was cut throat. At the time she said the SR was out bidding everyone in the taxi kickback trade which may explain the crowds there. Another girl in the OG who was Top Shelf told me she came there from the SR. I asked why she left and she said she couldn't make any money at the SR - too many girls. Another girl at the Palamino told me basically the same thing so I don't think it was just SS. Club wise, the OG is probably the best value for money DURING THE DAY but again not what it was. The saddest part of all the changes is that the girls used to go out and party on the town when they weren't working. I haven't seen that, no doubt due to the economy. Give LV back to the MOB - it was better!!!!
