The Las Vegas Strip Club: Why Do We Love Them?

Say what you want about Las Vegas strip clubs. The complaints range from "They are big, loud, and packed tourist traps." to "The ladies will hustle your pants right off your ass!" to "The Vegas clubs are built to cater only to the high rollers." Despite these facts, and in some cases because of them (more on that later), these are some of the best strip clubs on the planet! <br/><br/> You see, to me, going to a strip club starts and ends with the ladies. Otherwise, why the hell go to a strip club? For the $8 beers, or $200 bottles? To sit in the dark and watch football with my buddies? I think not. I go to where the dancer quality is the highest, FIRST. All the rest is academic. <br/><br/> The quality of a dancer is determined by 3 main criteria (some may have more, others less, but this is my list dammit!): beauty (first), level of contact (second), and ability to engage in conversation without too much hustle (third). As we all know, all of this varies by dancer. It stands to reason then, that the best clubs in any city will be the clubs with the dancers that score highest in all three categories. And Las Vegas is no different. <br/><br/> In my opinion, more dancers (and therefore clubs) in Las Vegas score well in every one on my categories than in most other places. (Trust me, I am originally from the Midwest, and the dancer quality is usually quite low in nearly every club throughout the region.) Vegas is home to some of the most beautiful strippers on earth, the clubs tend to "look the other way" on high contact dancing, and you can usually find a dancer willing to actually communicate with you beyond the standard "you wanna dance?" routine. <br/><br/> The reasons for this is because of the number of mega-tourist trap clubs and that they cater to the "high-roller"! Look at it this way: Hot women are attracted to money, the club that caters to wealthy clients will have more money in it at any given time, so hot women will naturally dance in that club because there is a lot of money to be made. No dancer wants to dance 100 times a night for $20 each time, when they could dance 10 times for $200 each time. It is not their fault, it is simply human nature! <br/><br/> It follows then that all other factors in choosing a strip club are a derivative of the "high-roller with money and hot women" truism. Where there is more money (and therefore hotter women) there is better security, more inviting decor, cleaner upholstery, and better lighting, shows, music, and features. <br/><br/> That is why I love the Las Vegas strip club scene. The dancer quality is usually quite high, which makes everything else fall into place for an exhilarating time at the strip club! "<p> I respectfully disagree.<p> "In my opinion, more dancers (and therefore clubs) in Las Vegas score well in every one on my categories than in most other places. (Trust me, I am originally from the Midwest, and the dancer quality is usually quite low in nearly every club throughout the region.)"<p> Oh, hell no. Detroit may take some hunting, but there's some pretty good-looking gals about who offer extras at prices Vegas gals would scoff at.<p>

    I've had many, many great nights in Vegas strip clubs throughout the 2000's and did my best to stay within allotted budgets (not always successful!) The quality of the dancers in LV has trumped the strip clubs of any other city I've ever visited. However, I feel a bit of a decline (or maybe at least temporary downturn) is taking place in Sin City recently. The Rhino's level of contact for dances is down and the hustle factor is pretty nasty right now. Hustle in Vegas is unavoidable - always has been - but it seems to be worse right now with more aggressive dancers (often not the best-looking ones) literally pushing you into the VIP and getting mouthy if you're not interested in them. The lower contact dances (both on the floor and in the VIP) make the hustle just more trouble than it's worth. As a decade-long fan of Vegas SC's, I hope the situation soon improves but my November 2010 visit was the tamest I'd seen it there.

    I'm also going to agree with CT about the Midwest comment. Plenty of hotties here in Louisville, and many of them are generous with their attentions, for reasonable prices. Maybe not *as* hot as the best in Vegas, but entry good enough for this old pervert.

    Thanks, GMD.<p> Vegas' beauty is often enhanced: silicone/saline b00bs, injected lips, lots of primping, etc. On some girls it works. But with many others it just enhances the cheesiness of Vegas (but yet still comes with a Vegas markup when it really shouldn't.)<p>

    I find Vegas Strip Clubs to fail on every level except for beauty, unless you have serious, serious cash and by that I mean the willingness to spend low 4 figures. Rather spend a little tine in Providence or Florida and find a dancer 10% less in the beauty department, the same in the contact department, and spend 10% ofwhat I'd spend in vegas. Last time at the OG was so lame (april) that I decided to just bag the day and took my wife out to Red Rock Canyon for a trip on their zip line.

    My current girlfriend likes working in Vegas for exactly the reasons you all hate it. She makes a lot of money without having to do much! There's plenty of eye candy in Vegas but from this customer's perspective, dancers are all business and prices are insane. Really insane. The only place I like to go is OG during the day, where occasionally there are veteran hotties who are fun to be with. Beware the trolls too though, hiding in the dark.

    have to agree with laphunt. vegas clubs are going through a phase, one that seems to pop up every couple years. noticed last september that girls weren't up to usual standards, and neither was contact. will be out there again soon and will post an update from the rhino.

Hell, one night in Bangkok and you’ll realize that even though those Vegas strippers are not really good looking they sure are unfriendly and expensive.

    One night in Bangkok.... Thailand including air fare from the west coast will still cost less then Vegas. The best part is the girl is going to stay all night long! Can you say good morning breakfast in bed.

    Vegas clubs are NOT the best. Generally you get the hottest girls, solid mileage, terrible value. So I go.

    Being from the Detroit area, I find it almost impossible to have a good time in a Vegas club. And I go to the higher end clubs in Metro Detroit.

    Currently residing in the Midwest, I've found inexpensive, available girls in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. I guess I *could* go to Vegas and pay more, lots more, for the same or less, just to get technically more gorgeous women doing it, but why *should* I?
