At the clubs I frequented the most, tipping more than a couple of dollars and asking her to come dance has a low percentage of actually working. The usually return to a regular (or the drug dealer at the old Follies). shadowcat mentioned not stage tipping at Follies. I tended not to do that for a very different reason. More often than not if you got up to tip some asshole would have pushed your drink aside and taken your seat.

The place has been there since the 80's and may go back to the 70's. How many names has this place had? I seem to remember Club Pussycat or Classy Cat at one point.

They took pictures because in their isolated, warped reality they think they are national heroes. Some were shocked they were arrested. Back to the drink prices, a couple of thoughts. They vary. I have been to clubs where I was charged different prices by different waitresses for the same drink on the same trip. Sam Adams for $6.50, then $6.00 for the next round. Just because you were charge $7.25 when you were there does not mean the reviewer is wrong if his same beer was $6.25. Drink prices are useful to a guy that is spending $40 on booze and $20 on garter tips. It is irrelevant to the guy that has 2 drinks and spends $300 on girls. Unusually high or low prices should be mentioned. I have seen people mention $2 beer and $15 mixed drinks.

That sad thing about those video poker machines is that some dancers got addicted to them. I remember getting a couple of dances from a nice looking girl. I paid $84 for the room from my own funds (yes this was at Follies a good 12-15 years ago) and paid her some stranger's $200. My younger self managed two rounds and almost a third. Somewhere out in the main room was a guy trying to figure out what the hell he had to do to get that girl's attention.

The only thing that would make the story better is if the wife was a stripper.

The "regular method" at Oasis (SMH) I am going to sit here and tie up three gorgeous dancers for three hours buying them drinks and getting the attention I crave. I tried going two weeks ago and they must have has so few girls the door was locked. Do they really open at 12? If I recall I was there around 1:30 or 2 PM. It is a 75-90 minute drive with traffic, so this is now beyond my "just drop by" range and is in my "must plan a day around it" distance.
