Simone Biles took gold in the individual all around. Suni Lee took the bronze. Huge comeback stories for both. Not only did they both struggle with off “field” problems, Simone with the “twisties” but Suni Lee’s story of stalkers and kidney disease is heartbreaking. Look it up. But they both made mistakes on the uneven bars and came from behind to medal. Fantastic stuff. 🇺🇸 I’m trying to keep my posts here to sports. We have Stud’s other thread for the trans and other stuff.

Boycott ! The Olympics is Allowing Men to Box Women
I agree, jaybud that it’s worse in the combat sports but at least boxing is weight classed. (Men still have a huge strength advantage and shouldn’t be competing v women even if the same weight.) That said, one of the IS heroes of the Olympics is our female rugby player Ilona Maher. 5’11” and 200 lbs and the clips of her trucking people are awesome. Here’s one. https://youtu.be/sg6YBkmtWM0

Boycott ! The Olympics is Allowing Men to Box Women
To add a little context… I am opposed to men competing in women’s sports. I am opposed to trans women who were born as men competing in women’s sports. I am opposed to women taking testosterone or other performance enhancers competing in women’s sports (or any sports). With that out of the way, Stud is partly right, in that it’s the IOC that is permitting these two boxers to compete. Someone in my office mentioned the boxers to me yesterday. I didn’t know the story and probably still don’t know the full story. By the article below, both of these boxers have competed on the amateur circuit for a long time. The Algerian boxer for 10 years. The Taiwanese boxer for 6 years. Boxing is governed by the IBA (sorta). The IBA said both of these boxers failed drug tests a couple years ago. One showed elevated testosterone. The other failed a test, but the IBA won’t say what test it was. Most Olympic sports are governed by their world governing bodies. E.g., I think whatever the swimming governing body is was the one that banned Lia Thomas from the Olympics (which again, I agree with). With boxing, it is indeed the Olympic committee that sets the eligibility rules because the IBA was determined to be corrupt. According to the article, these boxers have female passports from their countries. I’m assuming they also passed their recent drug tests. We can be skeptical (Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire passed too) but they passed. I assume they also don’t have dicks. After that, I have no idea. If they do prove these are men or women on performance enhancers, they should be banned. Will it stop me from rooting for the USA or watching the Olympics? No. https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/40697100/boxer-faced-gender-questions-wins-rival-quits-fight

Thumbs Up/Down
I like it just as an easy way to affirm without adding an otherwise empty post. I don’t think I downvoted more than a couple times and it was usually to agree with a negative post rather than downvote the author. I’m assuming it’s one of the features that will come back when Founder gets around to it.

Paragraphs are a pet peeve of mine. I’ll reject every time for the reasons minnow said. They take 7 seconds to include and make the review more easily readable. That said, I’m ok with the reviews getting approved. Hopefully, a couple of rejections will lead to a better review next time. Constructive criticism makes the site better.

Would some of you new to the board members take a look at the choices to reject a review and realize there isn’t always a perfect fit? It’s constructive criticism to make a review more easily readable, the review got published anyway and it’s not your review. Fuck outta here. https://tuscl.net/review/414987

Has another customer tried to interfere when you're with a dancer?
Here and there a guy will wave or try to get a girl’s attention while I’m talking to her. Not a big deal. Every once in a long while someone will excuse themselves into my conversations, usually just to drop a tip or say good bye. Nothing more. I didn’t interrupt but I had a CF who would leave whoever she was with as soon as she saw me enter the club. One time, she and another girl were in a conversation with 3-4 guys and the guys had just bought them drinks. I had unknowingly walked within a few feet of them at the bar as I got there to get a drink. She loudly said she was leaving them for me and took the fresh drink with her. I forget what she said exactly, but it was something that made it clear she was choosing me. I felt a little bad for them had I been in their place, but that feeling only lasted until she took the two steps to wrap herself around me.

Could be a great couple days for the US: Men’s gymnastics takes bronze medal after not having medaled in 16 years. Women’s gymnastics takes gold. Back on top! Men’s soccer is on the verge of coming back from getting thrashed 3-0 by France in opening game to being 15 minutes away from clinching a spot in the knockout games. Women’s rugby has a new star and we are playing in the bronze medal game. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Nice win by the basketball team today. I get that people hate LBJ for his complaining, his politics or because he’s not MJ. But to lead the team in minutes, assists and rebounds at age 39, when he already has gold medals and nothing to prove is pretty cool. He plays for the love of the game despite the additional miles on his body. USWNT with a demolishing of a really good German team 4-1. This new generation of young women has offensive firepower that this team has been missing for a few years.

Great first half by USMNT. 3-0 so far v New Zealand. It’s an accepted part of the men’s game but the flopping still sucks to watch. The women can play without flopping. The men should be able to play through some contact. Definitely a foul on the US pk but our player went down on feeling the contact, not because of the contact.

Oh, and the Carlin thread was posted in the political forum. Again, it’s a symptom of the problem of not being able to mute the political forum from the main feed.

We’ve suggested before, but founder needs to add a way to mute forums. It would be great to be able to mute the political forum. No, it wouldn’t solve the problem of political stuff being posted in the front room, but I think part of the problem is that because the main feed that most of us use to view the board shows all forums, people aren’t disciplined about putting threads where they belong. Said differently, if you could mute the political forum I think people would be better about putting political threads in the right place. Founder should also add an off topic forum. E.g., where else could I put my Olympics thread but in the front room? Last, founder hasn’t been active in moving misplaced threads into the correct forum. Again, I think that’d change if we could mute forums we didn’t want to view on the main collective feed.

Don’t make me the butt of your jokes
I’ve only seen a couple of girls dancing with buttplugs here in Bmore. It’s been a while but there was one at fantasies and one at maybe phc or Millstream or McDoogals. They were the light up kind to draw attention. I’m definitely an ass man but the butt plug doesn’t do anything for me. It was notable because I don’t see it every day, but I can’t tell you the dancer’s name or much else about her because I don’t have an opinion one way or the other.

So let me get this right, some crackhead ex-con OD’s on fentanyl we then proceed
George Floyd was murdered for passing a bad check. The murderers were convicted multiple times and it’s on video FFS. To suggest he OD’ed is bullshit. He wasn’t a great person, but we don’t get to murder anyone we feel is beneath us. His death motivated a lot of people. Is he a hero? That’s a little weird given what he did with his life. But victim blaming? That is always bullshit.

Do you mean men’s soccer is a joke? The best players aren’t sitting out, but I’ll give you that the eligibility rules are weird. It’s an under 23 tournament with an exception that each country can have three overage players.

I probably should’ve just posted it this way: The trans athletes in the Olympics were born female and are competing as females. They took no testosterone or male hormones. What’s the problem?

They are trans in that they don’t identify as the gender they were born with. It doesn’t give them a competitive advantage. I don’t care what someone calls themselves. It doesn’t affect me in the least. It also has no impact on the competition, which has always been the counter argument to letting trans athletes compete. It’s not hard.

Kneeling? We’re talking about kneeling? You won’t see any kneeling. I guarantee it. It’s been nearly ten years since the soccer team knelt during the anthem. There was permitted kneeling and a moment of silence before kickoffs by multiple countries in the 2020 Olympics I believe, but absolutely not during any country’s anthem. But you guys aren’t against free speech right?

The trans athletes at the Olympics are people who were born female and now identify as nonbinary, as in their pronouns are “they”. Quinn has been on the Canadian women’s soccer team for years, played in the World Cup in 2019. 2015 too maybe. That’s allowed as there’s no competitive advantage. People who were born men, went through puberty and then transitioned to women are not allowed to compete in the Olympics. The latter is a competitive advantage. Quinn and others like “they?” Who gives a shit if they compete? There’s no advantage.

It’s the same as everywhere. Find a dancer that will do stuff. Unless you’re saying I made it up, I’m just writing what happened. You can take your “official” opinion and do with it what you will. It’s meaningless. And she wrote her number down so that they wouldn’t see me typing it into my phone. NBD PHC used to make you sign a waiver before going into the vip rooms. Then they stopped. Now they’ve started again. I have no idea what it said because I didn’t read it. And technically I didn’t sign it, Jay Z did once. And Kanye. And other people not named Hank, or my real life name. I forget sometimes.
