TUSCL has saved my life ($$) on more than one occasion. Skipping on going to Dream Palace is one of them. My friend went back in Sept despite me urging him not too. He came out "stripped" of $200. And he said the girl made him keep his hands to his side unless he tipped her another $100. So nope, not going to go!

I definitely agree with your last sentence. Their wierd format is the only thing that keeps me from going there more often. Ideal would be to keep their normal and add your two as options.

Very good review, and spot on. Especially about the VIP room. This club would be the best in Phoenix if they ever fix up that VIP room (expand and clean).

Getting it at a strip club is a more "rewarding" experience, but then again you never really know if it is going to happen or not. For the most part, hiring an escort you know what you are going to get and for how long. That fact could make the escort option more convenient at least. But I still perfer the "unknown" aspect from an SC. There's no better reward than getting FS or other extras spur of the moment instead of pre-negotiated.

JScrib, thanks for the acticle. It was well articulated and I actually agree with most of it. I wanted to add a couple more:
1. Guys who will just stare at you while you are getting a lap dance. That's one of my pet peeves. I know I should just be happy with the hottie in my lap, but I don't need an audience that I didn't invite.
2. Over-aggressive bouncers. An even bigger pet peeve. Probably don't need too much detail on this one. I've had a bouncer pull at my shorts once to make sure my zipper was up... He even inturrepted my dance to do it! Then he stood behind us the whole two songs shouting at me to "watch my hands." I know they have to protect the girls, but they go way too far sometimes.
3. VIP entrance charges. Why am I paying an extra $20 or $30 just to use the VIP room? Then the club still takes $ from each dance from the dancer after I give her $25 per dance.
On the black/white issue. My best friend is Black, and he has the same issue at times. But then again more often it goes the other way. He gets plenty of girls that approach him just because he is black! But hopefully the girls arent judging before they meet the guys - ie. Give everyone a chance. But if they are ignorant like that, there are still plenty of other chicks who are down. They deserve your $ more anyhow.

He thinks that strippers without kids are drug addicts? Come on, man! There are so many different types of dancers and so many personalities. To me that's what makes the whole thing fun. And I've done just fine ITC and OTC without using Capn's "pimptastic" ideas.
Oh, btw Capn, I'm not young, but I have plenty of friends, a good job and get plenty of non-SC pussy. I go to SC's because it's fun and the variety keeps me going back since you never know what's going to happen on a given trip. Maybe you should just try being yourself and NOT use some "magic formula" and you might find yourself getting more (and better) pussy in general.

Snowtime posted a very good comment I hope everyone here reads it. IrishLad's comment also brings up a very good point. I think the point is that the lap dance business is, well... a business. Very simple supply and demand. A perfect 10 who provides "extras" (the supply) in VIP will be in very high demand. If the supply is low, she will make a killing. A 5 who is very hands-off is not in demand, and thus will not make it long as a dancer.
Why has the industry changed?? Easy again... We are in a very difficult financial time. The number of people who go the SC just to "hang out" is declining due to cost. Many customers now go for a purpose. There is a much bigger pool of dancers (many just trying to make a living) which means more competition. It's easy for a customer to find what they want if another dancer will not provide it. And most importantly there's better communication. We can go on TUSCL and find out where to go get what we what. It's easy to know where and who are going to go the extra mile.
I'm sure that Jess and Rf are probably very attractive (8+). There is still a demand for more visual, low contact lappers. Am I'm sure you guys are good at providing those. But just read the reviews... TUSCL members are serious about this hobby. Aka WE SPEND ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN THE SC! Most, not all, but most of us enjoy contact. It is about the fantasy - and the more contact, the more "real" the fantasy is perceived. The closer we get to "reality" the more money we will spend. I guess in economic terms, the demand for low contact dances just isn't as high.
**But don't get me wrong, I hope you don't change a thing. Don't change your values just to make an extra buck. Like IrishLad says, you probably look at sex and dancing different than an "extras" dancer. The SC's NEED people like you because there are still people who look for what you give them. But please do not be discouraged by dancers who do provide extras. In fact, encourage them to do what they do. If it wasn't for them alot of customers would not even walk through the door to eventually meet you. They actually help you out by bringing business to the club and providing a contrast in dancing styles.
WE GO TO SC's BECAUSE WE WANT TO EXPERIENCE A FANTASY COME TRUE. SOME OF US LOOK FOR A "RELEASE," BUT WE ARE NOT SURE IF WE ARE GONNA GET IT... THE UNCERTAINTY IS WHAT MAKES IT EXCITING. If it was just about "release" we would just get an escort. The contrast in looks and styles is what makes it fun. Good luck to all!!

It's hard to trust a stripper. And it's not just because she IS a stripper but it's WHY she's a stripper. They are usually attractive, some are very hot. They are comfortable enough to show their goodies off, and they enjoy (physically and mentally) getting men sexually excited. Now this doesn't mean they are untrustworthy, but it's definitely playing with fire. I'm not super attractive, but I've gotten lucky with alot of those "spur of the moment" situations with dancers. Even full service on many occasions.
Point is that if you put a candy bar in front of 100 people on a diet, about 80 of them will at least take a bite, and some will eat the whole bar and ask for more.
Bad analogy aside, a stripper by definition is put in compromising situations several times every day she works. When it come to dating one seriously, you have to be conscious of that because even the good ones can be tempted to stray. Better to just enjoy the fact that you are a luck SOB for even dating one, and consider stepping up the stakes when she decides to hang up her heels.

I have enjoyed reading this thread, as I think it generated alot of interest. I also like the way Rell, GoVikings and others have handled some ignorant comments with alot of class.
I, too, am a mid 40s black man. I have seen and heard alot. I think 95% or more of the people are not "racist" as this means they look down on other races just because they are different... the "I love myself, hate any others" attitude. Only a very small % of any color is really racist, I fully believe that.
I think what Rell and others are refering to is simply "ignorance" or the "I don't really know any better, but I'm gonna act this way based on what i see. I'm not gonna take time to understand this other person either cuz I dont care enough" attitude.
Racism is horrible. Ignorance is kinda understandable, but it's still wrong... and f'n annoying!
*The point: I've seen exactly what Rell is talking about and what he's been through. It might not sound like a big deal, but it can ruin a day or even a week. It sticks in your mind when someone does some ignorant s--t. It is important! And cudos to you guys for doing the most important thing, IMPROVING AWARENESS.

That does sound rather exciting. I've been pretty lucky in my short SC history (about a year of hobbying). I've had just about everything happen, from total rip-off for $300 to ITC FS for nothing extra (but I did tip both times). And some OTC as well. I applaud Tmo83 because my favorite experiences have been when both me and the dancer are fully "satisfied." I think that as long as you are a gentleman and not a cheap ass when you go to SC's you can pretty much find what you are looking for. But I agree with other posts in that if you pay over $300 to $400, you are better off finding an escort.
