The only thing UBI will do is make that amount of money worthless. If UBI is $1000 a month, then gas will be $15 gallon, eggs $13 a dozen, etc. We already have UBI, it's called welfare/EBT. UBI will only make lazy people lazier, depressed people more depressed, and rich people richer. But go on and pretend like giving money to people is going to somehow magically make their lives worth living. It's not. They will still be at the bottom of the social-economical ladder. /End rant

As a future ex-Californian, I have to say FINALLY! With 5 major airports in the LA area, and at least 3 in the Bay Area, I see NO reason for a bullet train. Flights between the two are plentiful and inexpensive. Spend the Bullet Train money to enhance the airports.
