Vegas during March Madness

DrStab
Motor City
Will be heading to Vegas for the first weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament. Things have changed in Vegas since the last time I was here for the tourney. Seems like all of the Strip casinos have these “viewing parties” in the sports books/bars that charge $200 and up for seats, and open bar. I will be there with another experienced monger, and 4-5 guys not interested in those activities. Any Vegas locals who can provide some guidance on where a group of guys can watch the games, have a few beers, etc.? I’ve read the posts on the Vegas strip clubs — things have changed there too, and not for our benefit. Would appreciate any tips.

I watched the superbowl there with 1000 people. Was awesome.

I was about to pull the trigger on going to CH3 for the Superbowl. They had a vip table with open bar and buffet similarly priced to what the sports books were charging for reservations. Work situation f'd up that plan. If you are going to spend that kind of money for a game/party atmosphere, might as well monger while you are at it...... A lot of the clubs had game viewing parties like that. It woudn't suprise me if they don't do the same for the tourney.

The Suncoast in Summerlin is where I'd go although we watched the super bowl at the Venetian.

Caesars Palace still has one of the best sports books in town
