I'm not local, so I wasn't sure if I should have negotiated harder. I saw someone recently paid $300 for FS.

Honestly, I don't remember the price for a water. I think it was $6, and I tipped $1 on that. But it might have been $7+1.

Sounds like a great trip. What does the word "hit" mean when you describe Bianca, or when you describe Jessie's teeth?

Not sure how you're convincing Uber to accept your fake name. Your Uber account requires a real name and a credit card number.

20 years ago I had been a regular for 5 years or so at a club in Memphis. New all the staff, had been in the homes of some of them, helped some of them with their college work, their kids tutoring, lots of things. One night, after not visiting for some time, I visit and get my 2 beer minimum at the bar. My favorite bartender was happy to see me. Lots of turn over on the staff. The place was busy and after an hour, I was still nursing a my second beer and absolutely NO ONE had stopped by to ask for a dance. The waitress who had been by to check on me like 6 times came over and said, "You have to leave now. You haven't ordered anything from me and you haven't gotten a dance." After 5 years of being a regular customer, after buying my 2 beer minimum. I explained that no one had come by to ask for a dance, and that I would have bought one otherwise, and that I had met my minimum, and she said, "No, you have to leave." It's been 20 years. That place is still there. I haven't been back. I have spent thousands in clubs around the country. But never there. Never.

So a year or so before the pandemic, the reduce the VIP card from 4 months to 3 months. Now they hike the price from $50 to $60. I can usually get 2 two-night stays at Cascadas per visit, once every other month. They are making the math on getting the card a little tighter for me. That's capitalism, I guess.

@Shadowcat I used to have a similar one to the old Tiffany's Cabaret owned by Steve Cooper. Got rid of it when I moved away from Memphis 20+ years ago. I'm certain it would be worthless now if I still had it. LOL.

@meat72 Yes, all that, sure. I have traditional retirement savings, and even if I lose money in the crypto speculating / gambling, I'll be fine. I very much appreciate your good advice, though.

I have been asking myself, off and on, for a long time, "How does one make money with crypto." I looked into mining, buying my own rig, renting time on a rig in some country that has low taxes and cheap electricity, etc. None of that seems within my price range.
I knew that people could buy low and sell high, but I have no way of knowing how to predict that, and I have a job and a life and I can't spend all day sitting in front of a computer waiting for the right time to make a move. I honestly don't know what I'm doing and I'd just lose it all. Once or twice, I bought Bitcoin when it seemed to go down in price, and then when it went back up again, I sold it. I'd earn maybe $20. Then I'd try again and mess it up and miss my shot or lose money. Very frustrating.
Just last week, though, I asked myself, "Could there be an automated way buy low and sell high, using dollar cost averaging ideas, running some kind of algorithm, that trades 24 hours a day, reacting to market conditions, in a way that I don't have to actively manage it?" And then I thought, "If such a way exists, then someone has probably already done it."
I searched on Duck-Duck-Go and found 3commas.io, which has these trading bots. People who have configured their own bots make them available for other people to copy them. I found a bot that 3commas said had earned 22% last month. So I gave the bot access to my Coinbase account (through the secure API...they have simple, step-by-step instructions). I had about $4700 when I started a week ago. As of this moment, it's almost $5250.
There were ups and downs this week, and I keep compulsively checking my balance like an idiot. I just need to calm down and leave it alone.

I've been planning some travel, and I've run into this. Travel websites say that during the pandemic, lots of rental car companies only stayed in business by selling off their fleets for revenue. Now the pandemic is ending, and they have no cars at the very moment when demand is up. Low supply, high demand, higher prices.

In the 90's... stripper had trouble finding child care for her toddler. Her mother was recently out of jail for arson and insurance fraud, her grandmother was currently in jail for cooking meth, and her dad was a registered sex offender. How many points is that?
Also, one time 20 years ago, ran into a girl who, 5 or 6 years previously, played on soccer team I coached. So that was weird. And hot.

The local DA has been pretty good about going after vices, particularly the SC's. Strong state laws and lots of local enforcement make Tennessee SC's pretty lame. And state and local agencies love putting together "human trafficking task force operations" that grab headlines. Hard to say if they are actually rescuing any trafficked persons. I suppose they think that going after the demand side of the equation will have an impact on the problem.

As far as I can tell, there is very little. USASG might help.

@shailynn Doing it all in one day puts an artificial constraint on my spending so I can afford to do this once a month. On odd-numbered months, I fly to San Diego and stay in TJ for 2 nights, and on even-numbered months I do a quick day-trip somewhere here in the US. My SC habit in the US has to be constrained because American strippers can talk me out of WAY more money than the TJ bargirls can.

@rockallnight South Florida...I've visited SC's there before. They are really spread far apart. And 15 minute Happy-Joy is a little pricey unless I wanna go all the way to Pompano. And the traffic. Not fun. So they are not on my list for now. Of course, I will not miss an opportunity if my job sends me there. Someday, if business travel ever happens again...
@warrior15 I've been reading the reviews here and at USASG. I don't really need a full menu when I go to an SC, as long as I can find Happy-Joy. I think I have read that Oz is possible. I'd be really interested in knowing my best odds for that area.

@electronman I visited there once, over 10 years ago, but I think what he means is that the private rooms are in a whole separate business establishment, legally speaking, upstairs. You go out the back door, up some outside stairs to a landing, and then back into the building. Now you're in the private room part of the building, which I think, as I said, is technically a separate business. They rent you a private booth kind of room with a door, and you go in and have your private time. Totally separate from the bar.

I kept my old smartphone that I used to use full-time. I put in a new tracfone sim card for texting here in the US. I haven't taken it TJ yet, but I think it will work on the same AT&T network that it uses here in the US. And AT&T network works great in Mexico. So, my fingers are crossed.
Since I only hobby less than once a month, it make no sense for me to pay for services that work all the time when I can just pay $20 every three months or so. I just turn data services off unless I'm away from WiFi.
I will be making my first-since-covid TJ trip the last week of May, so I'll update you guys if Tracfone works for me while I'm there.

@desertclub Talcum powder might be a carcinogen. The baby powder made from cornstarch is fine.
I think the baby powder advice is good. Keeps things feeling and smelling clean. I personally only ever allow manual extras (Happy Joy), and I don't personally care for spit or lube. To each his own. Or her own. Or their own. Don't judge me.

Cell phone service thought. I can't speak for every AT&T plan, but AT&T-prepaid and Cricket (a division of AT&T) are both completely free to use in Mexico. Your phone works in Mexico, Canada, and the US, no problem.

As regards fichas, if the drink arrives at the table and she slurps it down and is ready for another in under 3 minutes, then I don't continue. I thank her for her time, and maybe tip her $5. Finishing a drink too quickly is a strong sign that she will not be fun.
I know @Cristobal touched on this, but I think it deserves its own point.
