Chicago? Yes to museums and restaurants. Strip clubs--- no, but maybe some glimmer of hope at Atlantis or Club 390 (miles south of downtown).

Too bad that Playhouse has not upped their game. As noted, there are other good options in this general area, including Landing Strip, Flight Club and Criket.

Now there's a great idea for a new Ken Burns documentary. The history of bump and grind.
I do recall seeing a girly show at a traveling carnival in 1962 or so, when I was about 12 years old. I have no idea how I gained admission to the strip show but it scarred me for life--- assuming that a life long obsession with female anatomy and investing countless hours and dollars in pursuing sex with women counts as a "scar."

Here's a copy of my review, pre-covid. The club was great when it first opened and then terrible for a while. It was showing signs of a resurrection. I'd love to see it functioning again.

Good review. It sounds like you found good talent but at a pretty high price.
Pre-COVID, the Criket had a reputation for good value. Most dancers would offer a full menu for under 200. It sounds like the prices may have increased, at least for the dancers you encountered? Any other Criket visitors want to weigh in on the current price structure?

I agree that Orlando deserves to be listed on the Worst Strip Club cities, probably a result of the Disney wholesome influence. In contrast, the AMP scene is rocking. No idea what one part of the adult entertainment industry is so terrible and another part is so good.
