$60 per dance at a club in Las Vegas a few years ago. This was in the back area/VIP... customer would lay on a sort of table. dancer was full nude and it was full contact other than the kitty.
seemed like a good deal at the time.

I've asked dancers about this, and I've gone into clubs with and without my ring. The dancers tend to say they couldn't care less one way or the other and my experience matches that.
Coming at this from a slightly different angle, to the extent the conversation/rapport matters, it does seem to me that the married/divorced dancers wind up relating a little more directly and maybe relaxing a little bit (?) when I acknowledge being married... it's common ground, basically. I could be imagining this.

Thanks for the feedback. Variety and perspective are good - I'll plan to make the trip next chance I get. I'll review the reviews again to pick a couple clubs to sample. I seem to remember there were a couple clubs that got significantly better ratings than the rest.

Book GuyI write it like I mean it, but mostly they just want my money.
I'd vote for 1/3 or so of the on-stage or VIP dances to start with the girl in something like "normal world" clothes, instead of stripper gear. Sexier to me to see some hot girl dressed like she's on her way home from work, peel out of it, no? Way back in the day I think the Playboy channel ran a show called the Great American Strip-Off and, if I remember right and if I was seeing right through scrambled analog cable in 1985, they always started dressed like regular women.

Zerzan - There's a book called "Confessions of a Stripper: Tales from the VIP Room" that is basically focused on exactly the answer to your question. It's a quick and funny read. Guys asking dancers to stomp on bugs (bringing bugs with them to the club), guys asking dancers to help them study for tests topless, etc. Made me feel very boring/normal to read it.

It's interesting when they pick stage names that are not really sexed up... There was a dancer at the Admiral Theater in Chicago who used the stage name "Seven" or something like that. And there was a dancer who used the name "Erin" at a club in AZ. (I assume that's how she would have spelled it. Never asked.)

Oh, man - I nearly forgot about the time at a club in Salt Lake when a dancer with a cast on one leg literally made her way to the stage on crutches, then set the crutches down and made her way up the stairs onto the stage, did her stage dances on the cast, then went back to the edge of the stage and got back onto her crutches. 100% true story. About one year ago. I can't remember the name of the place but it was one of those over on 300 West. God love her.

We have unique logins/accounts on the computer at home, so I think that covers that front. As for the SC visits, I usually only go when I am out of town or when she is out of town. If I am getting the itch and there's no travel on the horizon, I will go after work but this is rare because it is fairly scary - the smoke is not an issue anymore since the indoor clean air laws here, but the fog machines and perfume and body glitter on some girls boobs scare the daylights out of me. I usually drive home with the windows down, splash water on my face, greet family briskly and head right up to change quickly, etc. I probably over-indulge when I travel or she is out-of-town, since I really cannot go to the clubs safely the rest of the time.

Oh, man - it seems like a couple times, once at a club in Atlanta, and once at a club in Las Vegas, they were taking it way too far, but it wasn't the drinks themselves. There was someone coming around with little trays of stupid trinkets like keychains and cigarette cases and all sorts of absurd crap, and there was this whole routine about, "Do you want to buy your dancer a little glittery purse," etc. I'm usually willing to play the game to a point, but I believe in both of those cases I laughed them off. But I will usually buy the drinks if the girl is drinking when we're hanging out -- I've never been stung on the drinks prices or hustle, though, and I would lose patience if that seemed to be some important approach to revenue for the club.

Wow, amen to that. I agree 1,000%. I'm absolutely just speaking for myself here, and I completely respect everybody's right to be seeking whatever particular experience they want when they hit the strip clubs. For me, though, I'm never crossing my fingers for some heavy-duty "extra". I've had those experiences from time to time, and they are nice memories and if they happen now and then, great, but if I could write the script for a VIP session, it would be heading back there with a gorgeous, natural, down-to-earth girl with a great attitude, and basically having her pour herself all over me for an hour or two, like a GF. In the ten or so years I've been at this, my four strongest and best memories are of four specific VIP sessions with four specific girls, where the whole thing just had awesome energy for whatever reason, and it felt like we'd landed back at her apartment for some earnest, prolonged pawing after a first date. I'd rather relive those, than the times I got off in some fashion.

Usually one or two hours only. Best exception to this was something like three or four hours at a nice place in Las Vegas. It got to be like 3 and 4 a.m. and by halfway through it was all a blur - a very good blur. It was incredible. God bless that girl... she climbed right on my lap the moment we sat down a little after midnight and basically stayed there practically until dawn.
