I was planning to visit on a Fri or planning to stay overnight till Saturday. I don’t have the experience or the mojo to get somebody to a downtown hotel. What would you suggest if I wanted to sample HK and CC? Are there any hotels that accommodate both? What can I expect to pay at these hotels for a night?

The only thing one should be concerned with today is the downstream impact of the elevated rhetoric. I have spent a few years each in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and you cannot imagine the challenges that you encounter in conducting any business with the government - no one is interested in following process or in the progress of the country. Each government employee and private citizen is chipping away at the country’s wealth (economic, infrastructure, climate, you name it) with their own personal benefit as the only desired outcome. I have started seeing the same in the US - bribes were non-existent at the consumer level as recently as 5-7 years ago. I recently found out that building plans were being approved by a local govt for a price. Do you want to hear about the next bridge or building collapse in the US instead of some 3rd world country?

When not a Thu, Fri or Sat, call and ask. Most clubs close earlier than the advertised time and even if they stay open, the dancers have already left - and you generally find the cleaning crew.

I do not have any flexibility in my schedule - traveling with co-workers, I have been to TJ a few years ago and enjoyed the mongering at HK & Adelitas. I do speak functional Spanish so can get by with reasonable ease - I heard the club scene is pretty good in CDMX and I’ll give that a whirl. I wish I had good connections, but am just a joe-nobody, so no high powered friends to show me a good time.
I’ll post my experiences if I get lucky. Thanks.

The worst was that my ATF's BF was the cook. He was always there. Not that I didn't have fun with her in the VIP, but he would stare me down when she was sitting with me. And of course, she had to mention the time he spent in prison for assault with a deadly weapon.
She was a 9 and her BF was a toad. Couldn't make out what the attraction was?

Long lines during spring and summer every weekend at Chez Paree in Montreal. Could take 30 mins or more. Of course, a tip gets you to skip lines, but club is packed.

@gawker @johnsmith69 The parties happen more than you think. These are private home parties - dancers take turns hosting or they contribute to a setup at one dancer's home. where everyone is invited by the dancers.
To get invited, don't be an a-hole in the club. Be respectful and slightly generous. In my case, I built a rapport with my ATF, and complained about the pasties and the constant rip-off of VIP dances - not the money but the short changing of time - get thrown out a few minutes early by the bouncer for no good reason. After 5-6 visits, she told me that one of the girls was hosting (I had asked her earlier if there were private parties around). I went to the party, got dances with my ATF, with the host, didn't make a scene about anything, tipped everyone who danced (they all are friends and it goes a long way!) and I was in the circle. I started getting invited to all sorts of parties.
The parties generally have a cover that gets you food (chips, sliders, etc), soda and beer. Some have a bar for liqour.
The host tries to balance out the guest list by having each dancer invite 1-2 of their regulars plus a guest. The homes generally cannot host too many folks and I have never seen more than 7 dancers at one of these parties. The dancers do dance and some locations are equipped with a pole.
There are a few truly private areas where no one will disturb you and dances and extras is dependent on the dancer. Each one is different - no one is coerced into anything.
I did hear of one location where the entire house is setup for a SC experience - poles, stages, VIP, etc.m but I have not seen it or been invited. Most of these locations are not always setup professionally - someone's living room, garage, basement - so might not be most comfortable, but I have always gotten good value for my money and had more fun than in a SC.

My club visits have decreased over the past year because I have been attending dancer hosted private parties. The parties are a lot more fun, where the dancers are not constrained by local club rules - they are at ease, rates/times can be negotiated, they keep most of their money and it is a fun environment - mostly because all attending are friends and do not spend time bitching about each other.
I have only visited a SC once in the past 4 months - and it was boring compared to the parties. The parties are every other week and that keeps the anticipation going and preventing burnout.
The only times I have lost interest was when I was consulting in crappy cities - where the clubs and dancers sucked.

My ATF's BF is the cook in the place she works. She is in her early 20s and her philosophy in life is to sleep with as many people as possible - customers and/or non-customers. Since I am not very social in the club, I'm not sure whether this is common knowledge? I never asked her if her BF knows, but I would think he should have some indication working so close with her. They do not live together, but shouldn't he be suspicious when she is not available weekend evenings/night?
