Fall is here. Time to change strip club attire?
I found a solution that was comfortable for me and thought I'd pass it on. I found a pair of pants at REI that were meant for hiking. They were long pants, but had a zippper around the thigh that allowed you to zip off a section and turn them into shorts. They were obviously made to allow you to start a hike in cool weather in the morning and then convert to shorts as the day got warmer. The advantage for "clubbing" was that I could wear the long pants into the club and if I found someone willing to explore, I could just undo the zipper across the front of the leg and they had full access. I tried it out on a trip to Las Vegas and not only did the dancer think it wa pretty clever, she thought the bouncers paid less attention, since they didn't realize more than groping was goin on.

Tip rail etiquette
In the East St. Louis/Washington Park area, the standard is usually $2, but for that you often get a full-lenth song with the girl in your lap and better mileage than you get in most clubs for a regular lap dance. If you're sitting at the stage, you are expected to tip.

Age of a Dancer
From the thread of the converssation, I guess I must be in the minority, but I really prefer older dancers. There are certainly limits, but they are usually more laid back, and certainly more aware of why we are at the clubs. Appearance is certainly a factor, but the total package is what is really important.

What to wear?
REI and other places sell pants that have zippers on the legs to turn them into shorts. They sell them for hiking or activities where the temperature might change. I have worn them in the winter to clubs and with the right girl, you just open the zipper and she has easy access. I wore them to a club in Vegas last December and a side benefit was the bouncer wasn't near as observant as if I had been wearing shorts. The dancer thought it was a pretty good solution for both our needs.

How much do you tip when you are at the rail?
At the clubs in the East St. Louis area, $2 is pretty much the norm. But for that $2 you often will get a dance that is better than most lap dances at other clubs.

The history of "mileage"
Interesting topic and the only comment I can make is that the variance in availability was greater back in the "old days". Most places still tended to be stage shows, with no direct contact with the audience. The strippers would do their numbers either on a stage in front of the club, or on a runway with seats along the sides. HOWEVER, I was at the New Era club in Cleveland in the mid-70's when a stripper (nude by then)laid down on the runway, spread her legs and announced "free eats" to anyone willing to go up. I was young and very afraid of getting busted, so I didn't participate, but there were some in the crowd who did. This place was definitely the exception, rather thtan the rule, but just wanted to make the point that action has been available in some places for a long time.

Value in Vegas?
If you can go in the afternoons, I think Olympic Garden is still the best value. There's no cover charge, there's no charge for the booths around the dance floor and with the right dancer you can have a good time. Lots of mutual touching, but no BJ's or FS. After 6pm is gets much more expensive, but there's also a lot more dancers.

illinois clubs going up in smoke
I get to the East side clubs occasionally and at first they were following the rules, but the last time I was in (about three weeks ago) they were smoking again. I asked one of the girls about it and they said the club was losing so much business that the owner had decided he would rather pay the fines. As a non-smoker, I was quite happy with the change and not going home with the smell. As a side note, I have been to a number of clubs in California where smoking is prohibited and there were always plenty of guys there. I think that if they had just left it alone for awhile, everyone would have adapted. It reminds me of all the good citizens who thought they could close down the nude clubs in some areas by banning alcohol. Last time I checked they were still flourishing. I think most fans of SCs are there for the girls and we'll make adjustments for any restrictions as long as the dancers are worthwhile. IMHO
