I think the crude nature of many of the interactions in SCs has a cognitively disabling effect on many of the dancers, causing them to drink a lot on the job, act bitchy, disappear into the "locker room" [my term, apparently that's offensive and it's actually a "dressing room"] for extended periods of time, or just burn out and quit the biz altogether.
Of course many (most?) of them aren't starting with highly-developed intellects to begin with.

In my experience virtually every dancer does the same moves each time, if they do something new it's because it's something they've added to their "routine" and they'll do it every time after then as well. (This doesn't apply, of course, if you go to a private room and position yourself a little differently or start using your hands on them a little more creatively.)

Only happened to me once--only BBBJ I've ever gotten in a club. Was in St. Petersburg about eight years ago, a beautiful (and kind) Russian dancer who said "No problem" to me after I told her didn't have a condom (she spoke very little English). I held her head down at the moment of truth, which I normally don't do, but she didn't complain and walked a few feet past me afterwards to "jettison my cargo" on the floor. (It cost me about $250, but I would go back there in a heartbeat if I could, she was *very* nice and *very* beautiful, we had a drink at the bar after and she kept talking about the movie "Pretty Woman" in broken English--apparently that's a common fantasy for Eastern European dancers [and other "professionals"], or at least it was, as Russia has modernized the females have gotten more "mercenary" and less desperate to find a Westerner to rescue them).

I once spent $1,700 at a club in Vilnius after mistakenly thinking the exchange rate was 25 to the USD (which is what it was in Russia and Slovakia) versus 2.5 (which is what it was in Lithuania and Poland).
But $300 is normally my tops, and I normally try to keep it between $150-200.

Thanks for (most of) the responses--I guess like almost everything else it depends on the club and/or dancer--kind of a theme when they're actually "independent contractors" I suppose.

How about a customizable map with little flags on all the clubs you've been to, like the "Where I've Been" in Facebook or Picasa? :-)

I prefer to do the approaching, I feel like if the girl takes the initiative then she's in control of the situation and I have a harder time asserting want I want out of it (and how much I want to pay). Saying if you don't want to be approached then go to a library is stupid, sure the vast majority of clubs have girls that approach you but not all of them do it, and the ones that don't tend to have the nicest atmosphere IMO.
It also depends on whether I'm there alone, or with a friend.

Brazilian culture is supposed to be the most sexual in the world, as well as the only place where women sometimes go out with the intention of picking up a guy for a one-night stand (and working to make it happen, not just being "open" to it.)
So it's not just Brazilian strippers, it's women from that country, as a generalization.
I noticed from clicking on your name that you seem to be located in the mid-West, if you ever happen to be in southwestern Connecticut (close to NYC) there's a club in Bridgeport called Ruby's II that supposedly has lots of Latinas/Brazilians working there. (I've been there once, and most of them did seem to fit one of those two profiles, but the place was a little sleazier than I expected it depends on what your standards are.)
