9 in 10 small business owners say there's a lack of qualified job applicants in RandomMember
Totally agree 100% with what you said. There’s always going to be a small set of students at every high school that can compete with the best in the world but it seems those numbers are shrinking.
I look back at my old high school. The town I grew up always had lots of low skilled manufacturing jobs available. In the 70’s there was a flood of families that moved in from Tennessee and ex coal miners from West Virginia. There is a small liberal arts college in town and the top students year after year were kids of college professors. Even with the new arrivals - many of whose parents never finished high school - the school consistently ranked in the top 30% in the state.
But not any longer. The high achievers are still there. But the school is the bottom 5% in the state rankings based upon test scores. Something changed in 40 years

Noticeable Change in Indiana Clubs...or is it just me?Is it a change? I’ve stopped at Brad’s BF a few times when I was traveling to Indianapolis over the past 15 years or so and it’s always been that way. I’ve posted before that’s Brad’s has to be the most overrated club in the country

Labor Market During/After COVIDEvery day HR is sending out emails announcing retirements & resignations. Older workers who may have been a few years away from retirement have grown weary of the supply chain bullshit and are calling it quits early. The position I filled was a VP who was only 59 but had enough.
Young people are chasing better opportunities and are bidding up the salary of entry level jobs.

Labor Market During/After COVIDI accepted a major promotion within my same company 2 weeks ago. I applied for a high level position thinking there’s no chance in hell I’d get it, but this is extraordinary times and I took my shot and got it. The labor market is turned upside down and now is the time to make a change

What would you do if you won the lottery?I would share it with my friends on TUSCL!
I can’t spend it all. No kids. And y’all would kill me for inflating the price of blow jobs if I started giving strippers two grand per pop.

The View from AzulI’ve never been to Zona Norte and I doubt I will ever make it there - but it’s quite a coincidence you posted this. I have been wondering how the quality of the paraditas compare to the girls in HK. I thought they might trouble competing unless they really low ball the price

There's nothing sadder in a strip club than....“I think it's sad when a stripper goes on stage and everyone leaves and she dances for nobody her entire set“
That’s an excellent one. Heartless DJ’s should give some thought when setting the rotation. Never send up the fugliest dancer on shift after the hottest dancer. I rarely feel sorry for dancers but it is sad to see the entire tip rail walk away

I don’t regularly go over to SW but I’ve browsed occasionally. Especially among the dancers from the UK and Australia there really seems to be a widespread hatred of men and customers. Or at least a strong dislike. There’s some of that in the US too, but seems less intense.
I’ve never understood if you hate your job that much, why not pursue other options.

Tattooed dancers, or Tattoos in generalI still haven’t gotten used to most piercings. I know I’m a grumpy old man, but I won’t accept a dance from a girl with nipple piercings. Or any facial piercings except perhaps a tiny nose ring.

There's nothing sadder in a strip club than....The extraordinary high number of dancers that smoke. How much does the cost of smoking contribute to “I can’t make rent this month”. Google says it’s $2500 to $5000 per year depending on where you live, how much you smoke, the brand…..and haven’t even considered the long term costs of health
