So ratings are down 50%. Politics and WOKE athletes were quick to be blamed but it’s not as simple as that. Sure, from stuff I’ve read here and on Facebook that’s part of it. But there are many other reasons. Technology today offers so many other options. I have the ability to stream many European and international sports channels. Most of my viewing time was using the Euro networks rather than NBC. there’s more to the Olympics than prime time NBC. NBC focuses on gymnastics, beach volleyball and some swimming. NBC hasn’t shown field events in track for years only highlights. The Euro channels showed cycling, shooting and all the field events. Those viewers are counted
And the time zone difference made a huge difference. Even without going out of your way to find results I got notifications on my phone or results popped up on the internet spoiling watching it in delay in prime time.

The ironic thing is the company was acquired by company ranked in the top 50 of fortune company with HQ in Boston about 2 years later so one of the Ivy students who failed to apply could have been working

Whenever there is a discussion of racial quotas and the lack of diversity in corporate America I always think back to a seminar I participated in for my MBA financial accounting class.
The CFO and several top level executives (all white males) made a presentation to the class and during the discussion a female POC pointed out that there were very few women or POC represented at the management level of the company.
I thought the response was quite interesting. The CFO said they heavily recruit blacks at all the Ivy’s and run full page ads in the Wall Street Journal and NY Times trying to recruit women and POC and they get zero qualified applicants. All the top level students from Harvard, Yale, Princeton want to work in New York or the east coast - they don’t want to live in the Midwest if it’s not a large urban area.
Dig a little deeper. There’s always more to the story than white corporate America simply may be all racists.

Again, I don’t know where you are hearing that strippers are well connected to the party circuit.
All the dancers i know get don’t get home til 4 am. They work most weekends. They go home and take care of their kids. And if they do ever find the time to go out it’s usually with a few other dancers (their only friends) for a birthday celebration.

Have you seen some of the Olympic athletes (who aren’t worth 8 figures) really appreciate being there and are willing to give it their all.

This thread has taken a circuitous route of twists and turns. But a point to consider that proves it’s fair game to be discussed on a strip club website.
I general, don’t most dancers “do whatever it takes” to put provide for their kids. Put food on the table and a roof over their heads. Perhaps those facing eviction look a the work ethic of strippers instead of looking for a free handout

Bullshit. You’re the one spreading the myth. My company cannot hire workers. We offer full benefits from day one. Medical (very low cost $30 per week), free dental, free vision, matching 401k, tuition reimbursement, decent wages (not minimum wage as the leftists always say) and do not even get applicants.
Stop paying attention to those who claim all the jobs are minimum wage service jobs. Get out into middle American where manufacturing takes place v

I don’t know where you live but in my neck of the woods there are plenty good paying jobs available with full benefits that cannot be filled. Get a job and pay rent as the system was designed.

The life cycle of strippers posting actually follows a very predictable 10 Stage course:
Stage 1 - Toe-Dipping: Tentative initial posts. Nothing earthshaking. Only indirectly identifies herself as a stripper.
Stage 2 - Gaining Traction: Posts something that sounds "refreshing" from stripper perspective, gets positive feedback and begins to gain confidence.
Stage 3 - Basking in the Attention: PLs trip over each other to enter into dialog with a real, live online stripper. (Ooh!) Pepper her with questions, sing her praises for deigning to answer.
Stage 4 - Payoff: Discloses where she works. PLs on pilgramage report back how she's every bit as wonderful in person.
Stage 5 - Holding Court: Now a board celebrity, she attains full princess status. Threads are titled after her. Every word receives gushing praise.
Stage 6 - Backlash: Some cynics get sick of all the fawning, and the princess gets bored with both the cynics and the ass-kissers. Big ugly turmoil ensues.
Stage 7 - Rehab: Every life cycle should have this stage. Not sure what happens here.
Stage 8 - Diminishing Returns: Begins to realize the first wave of pilgrims are as good a payoff as she's ever gonna see for all her slumming with the boys.
Stage 9 - Fade Out: Only posts you see for a while are occasional "I'm still here" reminders, then nothing.
Stage 10 - Beatification: After some time, we notice she's not around anymore. Then, it's, "Remember Princess? She was wonderful. How come we never get dancers like her to post here anymore?"

Mental issues rarely, if ever, all of a sudden appear without warning. There are usually days or months or years of signs of trouble. The problem many have with her is why did she even go to Tokyo. If she was under so much stress why didn’t she gracefully bow out beforehand. The way played out makes her look like a whiny quitter. after a poor score

I have family in Sarasota - Bradenton so flew in there a number of times. Loved the convenience of a small airport but the airport is in a confined space with fairly short runways. And I understand they have fairly strict noise abatement rules so the pilot gets it up pretty
