Fichas (drinks for the girls) are $9, and you will usually get the equivalent of a table dance in a U.S. club (with a *lot* more liberties allowed) while the girl drinks it. There are booths for a "lap dance" that cost $21 for about 5 minutes. These are 5x5 cubicles with a closed door and for the most part they're not worth it unless you're shy about groping the girl at one of the tables over a ficha. There are also bigger VIP booths upstairs for longer times and they are also not worth it because they cost more than going up to a room that has a twin or queen bed and a shower.

Now that your first visit is done, you can mostly dispense with having a single mesero (Louis in your case) from now on. They are handy when you need them for something like fetching a girl that catches your eye, but the rest of the time they're just looking for a regular supply of tips and you were tipping pretty high. You're free to tip as much as you feel is appropriate, but they are all fine with a dollar for most everything. Tipping high on those first drinks is why Louis latched on to you. The VIP in the club will always be more expensive than going upstairs. Your new friend Louis pushed it because he gets a cut plus a tip, and he gets nothing if you go to the hotel. The club absolutely doesn't care if you wander around after getting your own drink, and this is a good way of scoping out potential arriba opportunities. One of the best parts of the experience of being there is the fact that you can talk up a BG at random, slip her a single, and get a good grope in. The fact that the 9 didn't warm up to you in spite of buying her a ficha is your signal to move on. You can wave more money at her but more often than not it means you spend more and still don't get your GFE. I'm close enough to your age to fully agree that a GFE with a 6 is preferable to a mechanical session with a 9. In both cases you're better off spending a little time to establish whether you have chemistry before deciding with the little head.

In case you want more free advice... Next time, don't sit back and watch Daisy Dukes dance on the bar for half an hour. Ask her to have a drink with you. $9 plus a dollar tip will place her on your lap for fondling and negotiations for at least 5-10 minutes. The dancers don't get naked because they don't need to... you either check them out during that drink or two or upstairs. Christobal is right -- on Fridays and Saturdays, your best luck will come in late afternoon in my experience. The other bars will have the odd standout girl too and shouldn't be neglected.

Also agree with tahoecruz... don't set your sights too high for TLN in general. Remember that the girls have a life outside of work and may be unenthusiastic over the idea of not going home or burning a day off until they know you better. They've heard it all before though, so just be direct and ask about it. If she's interested, she will work out a way to make it happen. Far as hygiene goes, invest a few bucks in a big bottle of some good body wash once you get there and pack a couple of washcloths. If you ask the towel guy at Cascadas for 6 or 8 towels instead of 2, he's still happy with the same tip. :-) Finally, like these other gentlemen, I'm just as happy with a 7 I really click with. You're not going to spend the whole night fucking so don't pick someone you can't communicate with. Or look into a 2-3 hour session instead. It's easy to just "miscount" the dances and slip a few extra bills in. Back in the day when CDs were a thing, I would make mixes and that was generally appreciated. Nowadays, you can just do that with Spotify...

@Papi: The stage dancing is just there for ambiance... you can check the girls out by either tipping them on stage (copping a feel is limited only by what the girl will allow up there) or by getting a mesero to bring her down from the stage to you for a ficha or lapdance if you want to investigate more closely. The girls will also typically strip right down if they're dancing on the back stage where they do the shaving cream show. Either way, you can find the answers to your questions pretty quickly. :-)

Good info as always, sir. There are almost always a few 8-9 girls at CC on busy nights who don't seem to want any company even in the bar, but there's also almost always a few 7s who are great company. Never got around to reviewing this place on my last trip, but there was one petite blonde I remember vividly that I took to the VIP and that I should have taken upstairs. I'm hoping to find her next month when I get back down there...

Sounds like you got stuck with some major assholes that first trip... one thing to keep in mind though is that fichas represent a big chunk of their revenues, just like your drinks would in a stateside club. You might try tipping the mesero next time to leave you alone -- I've had that work for me before. :-)

I've never found the meseros or the vibe to be as bad as they seem to be for you... can you share the story behind getting kicked out? I've never seen that happen either. If anyone knows what the lines are that have to be crossed to get security in your face (beyond the obvious like taking video on the floor) I'd be curious to know. It's never been discussed here AFAIK... HK definitely has the sharkiest women (I think that's mainly because of the numbers and level of competition for monger dollars), but Chicago for me has the most annoying meseros (I think maybe for the same reason, plus the smaller crowds there generally). If you're firm and polite with the meseros, they will eventually give you some space. The sharky girls OTOH are tougher to deal with because you don't want the others to leave you alone too. :-) I just tip them a buck, thank them, and send them on their way.

I have never had my stuff molested or pawed through by either the hotel staff of Cascadas or the people at the front of HK (if you leave your bag there). This was also true for me at Chicago Club and its hotel.

Holy shit, epic trip report... I'm still chuckling over "Firstie" and I may have to borrow that someday. A few observations: Sildenafil is fun, but it's not a toy. Make sure you read up on it, especially the side effects to watch out for and how it interacts with alcohol. Better safe than sorry. I'm surprised that you didn't consider a hotel in TJ outside of the Zona... the "commute" back and forth to SD would have been worse than Zona Blues for me. Another option to consider is Rosarito or Ensenada. On your stikeout that one time, I've had it happen more than once and you handled it well enough IMO. I think her reaction reflected the fact that she was new to it more than anything else. In my case, I told her flat out that the encounter was about as sexy as going to the dentist and we actually had a laugh about it because I didn't make it about her. Finally, welcome to the club. I've consistently found that if you pay reasonably, tip when it's warranted, and act like a proper human being around them, you will almost always get the fantasy that you're looking for. The definitive proof will come if you're lucky enough to meet the same girl on a future visit... :-)

I've found that when/if I find a girl that I've taken upstairs before, the time limit is usually nonexistent and what we negotiate for a half hour results in an hour or more of company. You cover it in other ways like meals and tips and as far as I can tell, both parties are happy. :-)

The girls are there for arriba, it's true, but a good part of the experience for me at least are the times between those trips upstairs. In general, the lap dances at HK aren't worth it for me because you can get a similar and sometimes better experience over a ficha in one of the booths.
