Finding the One

Got to spend four days at the end of December in Tijuana, the Saturday after Christmas through Tuesday, New Year’s Eve. Maybe not the best time to visit, but as an East Coast resident, I’ll take my opportunities when I can and make the most of them. I rotated between Hong Kong Gentlemen’s Club, Chicago Club, Adelita Bar, and Las Chavelas, but only spent a little time in the last two, so I will post separate reviews of CC and HK. (I have never found the chicas in Adelita to my liking, and I only went into Las Chavelas because they had a live band.)

Not surprisingly, Saturday was the best of the four days at CC. I have been impressed with CC in the last year or two, as they have really stepped up their game. It’s still a step down from HK, but it’s less frenetic, a little cheaper, and the girls are not bad – not bad at all. Still, specifically on these four days and at the early evening times I went, the number of girls was kind of low. On Sunday, I met tahoecruz there and we spent some time getting caught up, since we had not seen each other since April. Not much was going on, so we headed over to HK.

But back to Saturday night. I walked in by myself – no cover and an offer of a free shot of tequila at the door, which I declined – and did a lap around the room. I was actually looking for a girl whom I had been with twice in one night back in April (once upstairs here and later in my room at Cascadas), but she was not working. Only one dancer on stage, no lesbian soap show, and no girls in the hot tub. Though good-looking, the girls who sit at the bar are often older or shier (or both), and it’s been said they’re only there to dress the place up and do not go upstairs. I cannot comment on the veracity of that statement, but I haven’t ever seen a lot of action at the bar. YMMV.
