Fatties
I disagree with the premise that there are a lot of "plump" dancers. I do notice a lot of fat people at Walmart. But not at most strip clubs. I think FONDL is right that the low income folks who depend on Walmart also have poor eating habits and perhaps low self-esteem, which leads to overeating which leads to .... But in the strip clubs I enter, I seldom see a really fat person. There are exceptions of course. I remember a couple of years ago I was shocked by the two fat women dancing in the Skylight Club in Valentine Neb. A rare exception. Of course different people may disagree on the exact meaning of "fat". Maybe my standards are too low.

Cameras?
cameras, cameras. We are having a fight in our State Legislature whether to allow cameras at intersections photograph speeders and stop-light runners. Guys have gone to jail for illegally photographing girls in their locker rooms. Strip clubs have cameras, for sure. Are you at risk photographed? Yes, you probably already have. Is there anything you can do about it? Probably not. It's not likely your photo will show up on the web without your permission, but it's certainly possible. Because, millions of images are being created every day through cell phones and other digital devices. Very easy to upload to internet sites. Absolutely no way to predict what image will show up where. Just surf the web a little bit and you will see what I mean. This excessive photography certainly diminishes the joy of illicit activity like hanging out in seedy strip clubs.

Strippers or Dancers?
None of you previous posters recognized the prevalence of bikini clubs, where no clothing is removed. At the bikini club known as "Dangerous Curves", some of the girls dance on stage and some just walk around on stage. Since none of them strip, it would seem odd to call them strippers. But.... some of these same girls DO strip in other clubs, which allow stripping. There is no one perfect word, but "Entertainer" is probably the most accurate one in this situation. By the way, some bikini clubs are very boring G-rated places. Others, such as Dangerous Curves, can get pretty erotic at times. Just because a girl has clothes on doesn't mean she can't be pretty dam erotic if she chooses.

New Format Comments, Complaints and Bugs
I respectfully disagree with Book Guy who wants the discussion thread posted "Last one at the Top" so he can quickly see who has just posted a new comment without scrolling down. That concern is swamped by the convenience of being able to read all the comments on a given topic just like you read a book -- top down for each entry and top down for the contents of each entry. IMHO, putting the latest comment at the bottom of the list is a big improvement. Getting rid of "rank" is also a nice improvement, as "rank" did not provide useful information. One thing that could be improved in TUSCL is to get owners or users to update the factual information such as hours of operation, dance prices, food options, etc. Many listings are incomplete. That said, TUSCL is far ahead of all the rest and FOUNDER must be complimented for the overall high quality of this site.

TUSCL's Idea of a Good Review
OK to mention a dancer by name if it is to praise her personality, body, etc. -- things that will NOT get her in trouble, but may help her make a living. NOT OK to mention a dancer by name if she does stuff that could get her in trouble. Also there should be some modest correlation between the rating number and the content of the review. Nothing worse than a review of "1" because a customer had a bad experience with one person, especially at the door. Second worse is a "10" without any interesting (believable) information about how the club earned that rating. One thing I like a lot about TUSCL is the free format that Founder encourages. Some reviewers are very analytical and others very subjective. Both approaches are OK by me. People who read these posts already know this, but discussing why you went to the strip club, how you were feeling that day, etc., is pretty pointless. Talk about the club, how you were treated, what attracted you or turned you off. If Founder rejected short meaningless reviews, it would help the overall system. I see a lot of reviews that are pretty worthless. But it is his site and I sure do support him in how he manages it.

How Much Does A Stripper Make?
First - I wonder how many of you contributors know that WAG means "Wild Ass Guess". But that's not really correct -- the correct term is SWAG -- "Scientific Wild Ass Guess". Much more semantically pure to put "Scientific" at one end and "Guess" at the other. And that irony pretty much sums up the "How Much Does A Stripper Make" issue. The idea of computing a mean and standard deviation is based on the assumption of either a finite population or a stable process. Neither is present in the Stripper World, because as several of you have pointed out, there are many uncontrolled variables, including - first and foremost - the constant turnover of dances. At our local club, about half of the total dancers last two weeks or less, and do not make enough money, net, to pay for all their stripper-clothing. My suggestion on this topic is to write a grant proposal to the National Science Foundation and hire a bunch of graduate assistants. Will Founder accept the role of Principal Investigator???? We could tie down all the variables, set up focus groups and field studies, and produce a snappy looking report that will look great when it is summarized in USA TODAY

The only thing that annoys me about this topic is two of the entries address their comments to Shadowcat but I don't see ANY entries posted by Shadowcat.

Strippers often give EXCUSES not to see customers OUTSIDE THE CLUB
Strip club is primarily a self contained fantasy world. outside contact completely changes the relationship, the logistics, the economics. not necessarily bad, but just a different scene altogether. i guess 95 percent of guys who walk into a strip club expect to and want to walk out without any further engagement with what they left behind in the club. most girls (maybe not 95%) don't want relationships with customers outside the club because they have lives to lead, and they see the club as a job not a hooker-service or a dating-service.

Getting a Stripper's Number
Maniacs made some good points. If most of the people reading his article are experienced SC hounds, or have worked at Miami strip clubs, then it was a waste of his time - but he still made some good points. I can tell you from visiting many clubs in Florida and in small Midwest towns, there are lots of different kinds of strippers - and customers - out there. Probably directness and the demonstration of a willingness to spend money on the girl are going to pay off better than the convoluted approach described by Maniacs -- but I would recommend his approach to anybody new to strip clubbing who wants to broaden his horizons. Remember, there are new SC hounds joining the hobby and reading these articles every single day. HAPPY CLUBBING

City of Industry
Couple of minor corrections. City of Industry has six (not seven) strip clubs, and La Puente has one (not two) strip clubs. For all practical purposes all seven are in the "same town" but in fact, you have one in La Puente and six in City of Industry. It is a great place to visit. There are a couple of motels within a five minute drive, and all the clubs are less than ten minutes apart.
City of Industry
A very nice article on the political and geographic aspects of City of Industry. I have visited all the strip clubs in this city and there is tremendous variability among them regarding size, ambiance, cost, and mileage. But on the average, the mileage is higher and the fun-factor is higher than in most other California towns.

One thing that was overlooked in the article is La Puente. As the writer said, City of Industry is very narrow and very long and has practically no residential area at all. But La Puente has a couple of good strip clubs, and it DOES have residential. And at least one of these clubs is just as high mileage and just as much fun as COI clubs on average.

I recommend everybody go to visit Hawaii Theater -- it is justifiably famous. And unique. You won't be sorry. I can't remember off the top of my head if Hawaii Theater is in COI or L P but it doesn't really matter - it is easy to find, very safe, and a lot of fun.
The Lido Room - Exclusive Private Lap Dance Parties
Why is this considered an "article" ??? It is a free ad. No way should a member get 4 free weeks for submitting an obvious promotional like this. When I read stuff like this, I am reminded of the slogan at the bottom of the page Everything written on this site should be considered a work of fiction." AND I AM NOT SAYING THERE IS ANYTHING UNTRUTHFUL IN THE PIECE. But can anybody argue that it is not a FREE AD? And it is well known that advertisements often spin the truth and exaggerate. 'nuf sed.
