The point of posting the link in the first place was never about whether this refugee group was more deserving than any other from some other conflict, or whether this would be better than another charity, etc.
All it was, was "hey, if you want to donate and maybe help out, the goofy actor will double your donation."

Russia had no choice but to act. If they didn't fight today in Ukraine they would have to fight tomorrow in Russia itself.
The globalists were not going to allow Russia to continue as an independent power outside of their control. They would eventually have added Ukraine in NATO and used it as a staging are to invade Russia.
Please read just how deeply Soros and his so-called "Open Society" Foundation have been in this entire thing for years and all the provocative actions the US and NATO have been taking before accepting the media natrative that Russia just invaded out of the blue for no apparent reason because its bad and run by a one man dictator who is evil and crazy. This type of thing, where different ethnic groups or religious groups were always fighting with each other, has been going on in Europe for centuries. Many European immigrants came to America to get away from that. No one is perfect but when making historical comparisons you need to compare the early U.S. to what came before. This country was a major advance over previous societies in bringing freedom, equality and individual rights to people. All through history there was a common belief that certain individuals were intellectually or morally superior to others and therefore had a right to rule over others. The idea that everyone is equal and therefore everyone has a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness was the founding idea of this country.
We spent two centuries slowly working to achieve that goal by bringing all races and also women under the umbrella of having freedom and equal rights. Without the founders of this country stating that as the goal to achieve, we would have never known what direction we needed to go in and made the effort to go in that direction. The result was that America became the freest and then the wealthiest nation in history, a country that people all over the planet tried to come to in order to get away from the despotic governments and ethnic and religious wars that plagued mankind all throughout their earlier history.
