I appreciate your comment. I'm talking about discussions I had with friends, not about my personal life. As I explained I'm not looking for the same things they are. It seems as a group a lot of these guys are moving to East Asia to live their MGTOW lifestyle.

Is MGTOW really expanding in some way, or is this just a perception of yours? I'm not under any impression that it's some big giant movement that's growing in the sense of gaining new adherents. Maybe the guys who always had trouble with women are just finding each other

I think the long term trend for the educated classes remains marrying later and having kids later. America is trending less religious overall. This is opening the door for more LGBT tolerance and polyamorous relationships.

It concerns me slightly that the bottom half of women may not be willing to settle and partner off to the bottom half of men. But being a top guys side chick rather than a schlubs one and only has been a path for a long time now.

It does seem like the college kids were getting together in person and doing less physical dating even before covid.

At least for adults who don’t live with their parents and who are not at least upper middle class. Used to be, women were more or less trapped in a marriage; it wasn't that long ago when women couldn't own property or enter into contracts in their own name. Even when it became actually legal to do so, many banks just wouldn't finance such things. And divorce was a *man's* prerogative, not available to many women. Divorce for a woman mean poverty.

I don't agree with the MGTOW philosophy but the people who attack it never ask themselves why it is more popular now than it was forty years ago when it was uncommon enough there wasn't even an acronym for it. I'm 64 years old. Looking at younger women, I see a lot of tatted up promiscuous females who go for bad boy loser types when they are young and at the peak of their beauty. Then, when they are on the downhill slide in looks and are the 30 year old single mom, want the same guys they previously ignored to marry them and take care of them and the bad boy loser's kids. If I were young I would still look for a girlfriend but I can kind of understand the reluctance of some younger guys to spend time on that and just be the slacker type who doesn't spend a lot of time trying to please women, doesn't work hard and just enjoys life.

Most females will whore around from about 16-35, "living their best life", maybe have a kid or 2(or 3) by chad or tyrone, then try to trade that in to a beta male sponsor(husband) to take care of them and their bastard kids. Crap I am old. Had to google mgtow and simping. I think many younger people have unrealistic sense of relationships. They are hard and require effort, work and sacrifice. Our microwave society leads people to think those relationships happen overnight. Too many think they are entitled to something and it should just be given to them.
