When You Had A Great Time In A Poorly Reviewed Club

What was it about your experience that made it good compared to the majority's bad experiences? My own example was a couple years back at Stud's Pub (now known as Pinky's) in Jacksonville. My friend took me there on a whim and I was terrified at first because I had read the reviews of the place before. Hole in the wall, ugly dancers, dangerous neighborhood, rude staff, no customers, lame music, the whole nine yards. We go in and the bartender was really friendly (and kinda hot), they had a ridiculous special for a pitcher (about 6 glasses worth) of Long Island Iced Teas for only $12 - and it was good. They had some... interesting looking girls, but 1 out of the 4 of them was at least an 7 on my rating scale and she was pretty playful in their private dance room. Only complaint I really had was that the pool tables were right next to the room and there was a guy shooting pool that periodically peaked inside to watch our dance. Rude as fuck, but it was still a mostly positive visit that contrasted heavily with what mongers were reporting.

Also the reverse can happen from time to time. I have had terrible time at well liked clubs.

It's all about three things--the girls, the girls, and the girls. Bad club + that one that rocks my world = good trip

I agree, it only takes one great dancer to make any club great. As long as she is dancing for you.

The best example is Club XXXV in Jersey. There are people that actually think that’s a horrible club. I think it’s fucking awesome. Another one was Centerfolds in SF. Mixed reviews but one of the hottest experiences I’ve had in a strip club. In both cases you just have to dig a little deeper to get what your looking for and granted yes on the surface they may seem like shitty tourist trap type clubs.

Mine was at Fantasies on the Beach. Generally regarded as the worst in an are of bad clubs, often derided as Manatees on the Beach, it is inconveniently located off a bridge to Ft Myers Beach. All the reviews talked about overbthe hill, out of shape, unfriendly, and unmotivated dancers. When I went there, I saw mostly out of shape, generally unattractive dancers, but no manatees. However, it just so happened that there was one dancer, who only danced twice a week and otherwise was a certified personal fitneas trainer. She was damn near a 10, just a little too long in the tooth. She was incredibly fit- great muscle tone without being musclebound, especially her abs, glutes, and legs. We had a lot of fun with lap dances and conversation, but there did not seem to be any options for mileage or extras. I would have become a regular for her if she was not exclusively day shifts and so inconveniently located.

to what chessmaster wrote, itbis generally agreed that Scarlett (now Vixens) was the best club in town. Sure, they had the prettiest dancers and nicest facilities, but bad management and horrible dancer attitudes. I hadn't had a decent time in years. I just stopped wasting my time. It was a place you went to be seen, but not a place to have a good time.

The American Bush in Salt Lake City, UT. Passed through SLC earlier this year pre-Covid. SLC clubs get justifiably slammed here, primarily for no touching and lesser for no alcohol. But for kicks I like trying out clubs in cities where have never clubbed before. Before trip, read some reviews. Tuscler jstark posted review shortly before my trip saying dancer Dani was good in private room, and Tuscler mcmeister chimed in saying Dani is best girl there. So I dropped in to check it out. Overall the club is a low energy pasties snoozefest, the hotter girls aloof with some perceived GPS, and many staring at phones or spending more time in dressing room than on floor (dressing room door is next to stage so easy to see who's going in and out). While waiting for Dani to break free, got some VIP chair dances from Scarlet, boooring, hands at side, but she was playing by house rules so understandable. Subsequently did half hour room with Dani and she was good as advertised and departed happy despite general lameness of SLC clubs. So, as FishHawk says above, only takes dancer to make a good visit. Without Dani recommendation it would've been a terrible visit and would've been spending $ on learning curve seeking out a Dani type. So thank you tuscl and reviewers. Didn't post a review before Covid hit and with the dismay of post-Covid reviews of pre-Covid trips, this is it. One odd thing about club was half the girls walking around with hoodie sweatshirts despite not being that cold inside club. And there was post-stage set tip stroll by girl which I'd never experienced before.

My favorite clubs are dirty run down hole-in-the-wall places where half the customers and 3/4 of the girls don't speaka-no-ingleesh. I see a bunch of bad reviews and I can't wait to try the place.

Same for me with Playhouse in Romulus (Detroit) where most reviews are just terrible. For me I had an incredible 3-way with two smoking hotties that definitely ranks in my top ten. Another night the 9/10 bartender and I split a bucket of beers and she agreed to do a VIP with me while the other bartender covered. Just those two experiences make up for any bad ones I had there other nights.

Since it only takes only 1 right dancer entertaining me it can happen at any club (almost) I;m willing to enter and any time (on multiple occasions) I go. Survey says: Red Rose GC - Fort Walton Beach, FL

Right before the shutdown here in South Florida, dropped by Club Pink in Pompano. Small hole in the wall club but since every other club had shutdown, there were several dancers from other clubs that brought up the overall score substantially. Desperate for money and limited opportunities lead to a very nice time.

I tend to have a good time at some clubs that are reviewed poorly because I try to hit clubs on their best nights and shifts. I see guys eviscerate clubs on here because there were only three dancers on a Sunday or only old, out of shape dancers at 1pm on a weekday. I think it is best to not base your review off just one single brief visit or just time with one dancer. You may get dances with the one dancer who is the ROB or the prude and then think the strip club sucks. I always try to get private dances with multiple dancers and then average out my collective experience.

I never pay attention to reviews on here. I read them for entertainment value. If you follow the reviews them clubs with cheap hookers are good. Every other place is a rip off lulz

Many years ago I found myself with a free evening during a business trip to Baltimore. I had read many reviews about clubs on "The Block" in the city and they were almost all the same: small grungy clubs, old dancers with leathered skin and bored faces and watered down drinks pushed every 10 minutes. I went to explore just for what I expected to be a tour of the seedy, underbelly of strip clubbing, and mostly that's what I saw. But then I happened to wander into one club in the middle of a block (can't remember the name). I had to head up a flight of stairs to get into the bar area and was greeted with the famous "Baltimore Handshake" by a 40-ish blond who could have come from Quasimodo's family reunion. After I got at stool at the bar - alone - I started to chat up the barmaid/house mom. For some reason she decided she liked me. Maybe it was because I tipped her the change from my twenty dollar bill for my $6 beer? Anyway, she decides to offer me something unexpected; a 21 year old brunette spinner who was on her 2nd day on The Block. "Why don't you take her to the back room for a while. She really wants to know how much fun she can have..." Well I did a double take, and just stared at this 103 lb. beauty smiling at me in her string bikini and looking demure and horny at the same time. "Umm... how much is a dance in the room?" I asked. The House Mom said it was $120 to take her back for 30 minutes and if I tip the dancer another $80 there were no limits. I was already dropping six $20's on the bar as she finished telling me the price when the dancer took my hand and led to me what I can only describe as a broom closet (including 2 brooms in a corner) with a 3 foot bench seat on the far wall. Fun was had. A lot of fun. I don't think I can over state how much fun was had. Anyway, I got laid. Tipped her a Benjy a left a very happy visitor to "Charm City."

It is usually the quality of an interaction / connection with a dancer. Sometimes it's the decor... oh hell, no, no, it's NEVER the decor ( Although I miss the ceiling full of bras at George & I in Newark, but yeah, it's the girls. But service, drinks, etc. can't be god-awful, or I'll never stay around long enough to meet any of the dancers. Had a similar experience to Herbtcat, only in Paterson, NJ. Three down n out clubs adjacent, practically, to each other. I figured, I'd already tipped the hood rat to watch my car, so I'll hit all three. Bounced out of 1 and 2 in short order, and 3 wasn't looking like it was going to change my streak. Then Ivonette walked up, smiled, a warm hug like and old friend, and she sat down saying "I Saw you walk in, you're not used to this, are you? You must go to better places" I said, well, frankly, yes, but I don't know if I've ever met better company". Three hours later we were re-enacting the in-auto scene from Titanic in a booth that was probably 1/4 the size of that car. Kept in touch with her, but Never went back once she left the club.

"the dancer took my hand and led to me what I can only describe as a broom closet (including 2 brooms in a corner) with a 3 foot bench seat on the far wall." Multiply that by about 20 and that was the Block in its heyday. One time I thought s guy and his dancer might crash through a second story window overlooking the bar. Dude must've lost his balance because there was a crash and pale ass cheeks up against the glass because the blinds came down. If you've been that club you'll know which one it was.

Almost forgot my post about the topic. I almost always have a good time at clubs now. Even the bad ones. When I used to always be in a hurry sometimes I'd just miss the right dancer. Sometimes a place is nothing but fugs, but clubs in my area don't really have that problem.

For the most part, clubs that are considered to suck by most reviews, *do* suck - just b/c one was able to have a good visit b/c of a particular dancer does not mean the club itself still doesn't suck, just means that you had a good time in-spite of the club sucking b/c you happened to run into a good dancer. Sometimes a club can overall suck but offer a certain niche that will work for some people.

I feel like most obscurity/inaccuracy in reviews and the chances of YMMV might be at clubs with populations of 300,000 or less people in it? Just because they seem to not be reviewed as much as clubs in larger areas.

The one club that I can say that I always have fun at is Lucky Lady cabaret In Sweet Springs Missouri. Matter of fact, I may be the only person who has given it a good review. It could be that I just like to have fun no matter where I’m at. I have had a bad time at only one strip club. That club was a club that I gave positive reviews on in the past, then retracted search afterward.

One time it was when I was in one of the Casino's in Louisville I decided to check if there were any clubs and all were low rated. I chose the one with the highest rating. Reviews above average dancers and very little contact. Went to the club, and there was about 8 customers and 6 dancers. All the customers looked like they were there just to drink and watch the TV's. Dancers were just sitting around the club looking bored. I got a drink at the bar, and sat down. Dancers looked to be a lot prettier than described. Drinks and dances were cheap so I was a bit less picky on which dancers to try, and up getting dances from four out of the 6 dancers, and all but the first was good. Dances were definitely not all air like they were described, plenty of two way contact all but the first.

When a club has exceeded my expectations, it’s tended to be in a mid sized town and a mid tier club, maybe on the divey side of mid tier. I’ve found that my experience hasn’t varied much from reviews with respect to the higher end clubs in larger cities or the hole in the wall clubs in small towns.

You're telling that to someone that likes eggplants and peaches, what difference does it make it to me?

“ You're telling that to someone that likes eggplants and peaches, what difference does it make it to me?” Okay. I’m going to admit it. I was thinking about the ice cream thread and wondered who the hell likes eggplant ice cream? Took me a few to realize what Eve meant. Damn I’m old.

I can honestly say that I have never had a bad time in any club, just more fun in some than in others. Dancers in some clubs are described as "aloof", and too stuck up to dance for (their) money. I just try to project a friendly image, show some willingness to spend, and you know what? It works! The one thing SJG said that I could agree with is "Don't treat them like dancers." As a caveat, I think there is a big difference in how we treat civvies, lol. I will also say that the expectations you have of what constitutes a good time will have a major effect on your perception of the experience

Band Aids in PHX. Low level talent and many ESL people work there, but sometimes you will find a girl needs to work in that club to make ends meet that should be at a better club, and considering the type of PL that patrons the place, when the diamond in the ruff stripper dances for you she is grateful and tends to treat you well, because she wants to spend time with you instead of the old stinky white men or the grabby cheap broke blue collar types with little to no education. I will pop in once in a while to see if there is a decent dancer, and bounce quickly after a drink if I don’t see anyone. Periodically there you’ll find something decent to play with.
