SLD's tip was the only one I usually do. If there's a dancer you know you want dances from, ask her about 20 seconds after a new song starts. If she's cool, she'll offer to wait until the next song to start on her own without you saying. If she's REALLY cool she'll even undo her top and grind you even though the paid portion hasn't started yet. If she tries to start in the middle of the song then that's a red flag already, not a good start.

In most clubs here, the girls have VERY little latitude. There's a dance counter who counts songs; if she gives me more than an extra minute, she gets charged. The one bit of wiggle room is, as TFP described: ask her to go to the room 30s after a song starts. The good girls will sit on your lap and allow some groping the rest of the song, and then start on the next song... they can do this without getting charged an extra song.

Not really much one can do - in most clubs one is at the mercy of the DJ and these days in most clubs one is lucky to get a 3.5 minute dance/song - many clubs avg around 3-minutes and there are clubs that don't even consistently give you the 3-minutes and they play the songs at different lengths and you will get some under 3-minutes.

There are some clubs where one puts $$$ into a machine which has a counter so one knows exactly what they are getting and one gets the same amount of time per dance every time vs being at the mercy of the DJ - I've never been in a club like this but on the surface seems it's a better option than what one gets on most clubs these days.

@Justintolook the thing that protects SJG from being burned by a merciless stripper is that he isn't able to go to any clubs, again like SLD said. I'm not sure if that's because he's locked up somewhere, dead broke, or both. But the fact that he can't go saves him from being taken by a ROB.

Scary thing is, he seems like the type to stalk a dancer or worse after she plays him for a fool tricking him into thinking she wants to deal with him outside of the club.
