what would you do?

Friday, September 20, 2019 5:30 AM
[view link] This song keeps me grounded alot. What would you do if your son was at home crying all alone on the bedroom floor cause he's hungry, and the only way to feed him is to sleep with a man for a little bit of money.... Thats a deep lyric. Somewhere out there is a girl that's auditioning for a porn shoot or starting to strip or hook for money. I think adult entertainment is a blessing and a curse because what other means could a girl with no education make the money they make. With that being said i believe the psychological effects are real and detrimental in most cases. The problem becomes.. just as the song says... what would you do?

If I were the dancer, and I was asked that question by A guy, I would tell the guy to buck up and be a man, hook up with me long-term, feed my kid. Tell that man to get off his ass, get a job, be stable, and stay at home.

For starters, in this country there is zero need for a women to sell her ass in order to feed her kid. Between SNAP, WIC and a plethora of food banks and soup kitchens littering the country, if you are going hungry then it is a function of stupidity and laziness, not poverty.

Oh bullshit dugan... with all the things you mentioned you may get a few hundred a month at best. Formula, food, diapers, rent and countless other bills and you say there isnt a reason for that. so those girls are stupid or lazy? Its literally the definition of poverty

Idk. If I had a child, then I’d do what it takes to avoid the sex industry. Assuming I had a child by “accident” without it being clear baby daddy is going to provide, and also without me having a secure income stream to have a child, then what I would do is... (I think the idea of accidental pregnancies are baloney but I won’t get further into that.) ...Part-time pharmacy tech or some other entry level job in the medical field. Work just enough hours to get health insurance. And then some type of sales job for the rest of it, for the $$ potential. I freaking love dancing for the lifestyle it enables me to have. And freedom and flexibility. But children are a freedom and flexibility killer, and I don’t see much upside in that.

Pole, the song was about a boy sitting on the floor hungry. Rent and bills are a separate matter. I'll credit you with simple ignorance rather than stupidity for not understanding the full network of options in most areas for acquiring food. SNAP an WIC are just a fraction of those options. There is so much free food being given away in food banks and soup kitchens around the country that anyone who wants to eat should have options, most especially in urban areas.

And ima show my personal biases off even more, but it seems dancers without children are nicer and more fun individuals for the most part. Plenty of exceptions on both ends of that come to mind tho

As far as paying the other bills, cry me a river. That girl had 10 other options along the way, including finding a different job, living in a cheaper place, finding a stable man, etc., etc. and still more now if things became that desperate, including temporary housing assistance. Girls who sell their ass to pay the bills do so because, for them, it is the path of least resistance. They want to maintain a certain lifestyle and taking cash for sex is the most convenient way of doing so.

Just do what Dugan’s DS does: not give a shit and get your children taken away by the state. Problem solved 🤣

Didn’t look at the song on u tube, not interested in signing in to see it, but it seems to me that having children falls under the topic of personal responsibility my opinion is simple take care of your children I don’t care if you’re male or female you need to take responsibility for your children and do the things that are necessary to raise and feed them properly it’s just personal responsibility.

Each situation is different. So, I would not say that stripping/sex work can always be avoided if a child's welfare is at stake. But, it's fair to say that it can *almost* always be avoided. There are usually other options. These can include welfare, food stamps, etc., but I'd also point out that a pretty girl can also get a job waitressing or bartending (in or out of a strip club). But I don't judge when I find out that a stripper is a single mom. I have no idea what her specific situation is and it's none of my business.

This is funny how dugan portrays himself as the greatest human being, a righteous christian, highly successful chemical engineer, family man, and passes judgement on others. Yet he participates in what he seems to condemn by paying for sex, then says there is no reason for women to provide sex for money. I find this hypocrisy amazing. Keep preaching rick!

===> "at no point in time is trading sex for cash a convient thing to do" Clearly that's not the case for some or else they would avail themselves of the numerous other options discussed above instead of selling sex for money. Duh. 😉 No wonder illegal immigrants so often feel contempt for American born poor people. Seriously, they come to a place where food is so abundant that it's being given away for free, where jobs are plentiful for those who have papers, where charitable organizations offer so much to anyone who asks and where opportunities for advancement exist for anyone willing to work hard. Then they see this perpetual victim mentality of our poorest folks and they just scratch their heads, a mentality perpetual sadly perpetuated by a certain political class. Oh, and I speak of all of this from personal experience. I dragged myself out of poverty at a young age. Now I have routine exposure to an immigrant community and am involved in giving back to may charitable organizations. In this country, there is always a way to improve your lot. If you are selling sex for cash, it is sure as fuck because it's the most convenient option to you.

Cowgirl, there is no hypocrisy in my comments. I can condemn bad treatment of others while acknowledging the free will of girls to make their own choices.

Every person has their own individual tolerance for suffering. In this country the more tolerance you have for suffering the better off you will be in the long run. My parents were hardcore, if we were hungry they'd tell us to sleep it away. Nobody sold drugs or ass to get us through it. Only told us to build our tolerance for suffering. A lot of strippers (sex workers) actually have a very low tolerance for suffering so they seek the quick comfort even though in the long run, it doesn't get them to a better place. When Kids cry, teach them to do something different than you did so they won't have the same future.

I believe the propensity of the victim culture is rampant today, more so than ever. Witt the rise of media, guys like SJG and other sexploit the downtrodden and use them for political gain. Sad really.

Pole, if you're hungry, here are some local food options in the Minneapolis area: [view link] [view link] So Good Lord go eat and feed your kid if you are hungry. Some are both soup kitchen and food pantry. I can also provide you with links to assistance with housing, electricity bills and job placement if you would like. We live in a country full of on-the-ground charitable organizations willing to help with a variety of things as long as the recipient is willing to take the first step. There, I have done my educational good deed for the day and dispelled some goofy myths in the process. 😉

I'm not female, nor desperate. I honestly don't know. Knowing that a woman dancing on my lap may or not be doing so to cope with a difficult life situation - while making it seem that she likes doing so, for my entertainment - is exactly the reason I don't push limits, and try to act 'respectful' within the 'bizarro world' of strip clubs.

@RickDugan "Cowgirl, there is no hypocrisy in my comments. I can condemn bad treatment of others while acknowledging the free will of girls to make their own choices." How did you know I am a girl? Or is it that you are insecure in your manhood and need to call me a girl 😂

pole, I will only comment on the the original post. Seems a single mother (where's the deadbeat father?), no education (where were her folks?), and no personal responsibility! Not my problem. The bleeding heart libs that created that part of society can feel the guilt and deal with it, not me!

I have never been poor while raising a child, but I have been poor. As an average looking dude, no woman was willing to pay me to dance naked, have sex with them, be my sugar mommy, or have me appear in porn videos. Sex worker may not be a great option for an average looking single mother, but at least it is an option. Basically, poverty sucks regardless of gender. Self improvement is hard work and a life long endeavor. If a woman finds dancing to be demeaning, find another path.

I guess my kid would starve - as nobody would pay to get fucked by a big sloppy mess like me! I guess I could walk up to a girl and rub my balls on her - and ask her to pay me to go away? There's a silver lining everywhere - even if its a sticky silver lining....

VH, Correct, as I stated. BTW, just how much extra money do you send the IRS? There is no limit! You libs can send all your money and be happy. And I'll happily give you credit for helping keep those the don't care about themselves moving on! My friend, life choices have consequences. Live with it!

Most people (both male and female) will do whatever it takes to care for their children. It’s not a problem unique to women (though in most societies women have fewer opportunities than men). In places where jobs are scarce many men leave their families behind and go to foreign countries in search of work. They send much of what they earn back home to feed and care for a family they never get to see anymore. When all else fails, some men will resort to crime in a desperate attempt to care for their families.
