Club Reviews from Dancers

I just rejected a dancer's review because I didn't feel it fit in with the spirit of the posting guidelines. I'm conflicted about this because I'd still like to see their perspective on a club... does this site need a different process for publishing reviews from dancers?

Thoughts from the herd?

NO! They can use the discussion boards for their POV.

Don't have a problem with it; no BFD. Can be an interesting read and if not, you have a button you can hit on your keyboard.

I'm pretty sure that I rejected the same review, but less because it was from a dancer and more because it was a poor quality review.

I think that a dancer's review *can* be useful to a customer if it's written with that intent. Meaning not a club ad or shilling her own services.

A lot of dancers come to TUSCL to research clubs for work. That being the case, if they aren't going to get verified then I think they should either write a useful review or shell out $8 for VIP membership.

Most of us who have used industry-specific employment / research services have to pay for them... and it's a shitload more than $8/month.

Everyone is the same, a TUSCLer and subject to the same rules, guidelines, whatever as everyone else.

I have no problem with it. Recently Nice Spice and I visited a club together as civilians. She kept giving good comments regarding the club on her perspective while we were eating dinner. I thought her perspective was very interesting and I requested that she do a review on the same club after I reviewed it. She did so and had a whole different perspective than mine. Mine was from the PL side while hers was from the dancer side.

If its an informative review, I'll approve a dancer review.

I think reviews from a dancers POV as long as they seem legitimate should be welcomed.

I like the dancers perspective and see no reason not to include them in the review process. The review should have useful information in it though, not only for dancers, but also for customers. Having said that, I don’t see many reviews from dancers or reviews that have been approved by dancers. Did the review in question get published?

Not enough details, mongo. What was it about the submission that you didn't feel was "in the spirit" ? If the focus was on club hiring practices with little or no info beneficial to customers, then I'd reject it too. (Ditto for looking like a club ad.) If most or all of review guidelines are filled, ( dancer shift profile, attractivenss, mileage, etc) then I'm fine with review having dancer perspective things worked into review.

Hmm...I don’t see why not. Here is one dancer review that was very well received:

Personally, I don’t have the balls to write quite that blunt of a review of any clubs I have worked at. I have shared intel about certain things at clubs I’ve worked at, but that was generally shared with individuals I get along well with from here. Not out in the open.

I personally am not going to write a review from the POV of a dancer vs female customer unless I have no intention of stepping foot into that club again. And even then...I’m not into dancer reviews generally.

Tho I did make an exception when I wanted to get another account to get VIP access for trolling purposes. 😈 And I got no downvotes for my review so I am assuming others found it useful. Perhaps some details would be considered fluff, but I do think I provided info on the overall vibe of the club. And thus, it’s not like it’s a total waste or anything. (Tho I’m sure opinions will differ there)

To clarify my original post. I have no problem with dancers doing reviews as long as they stick to the review guidelines but I don't think they need a special review section to discuss stuff that only dancers are interested in. They have their own discussion board for that.

Lol, minnow, good point. I ended up rejecting it because it didn't give me the info I want to know as a prospective customer. At the same time, it's a valid impression of the club. The context is different, so I guess I think they need to be handled differently.

If it's an informative review, even if just informative for dancers and not custies, I'd approve it as long as it was well written and not just fluf

At least one club that dancers tend to hate is one of my favorite clubs, but I don't mind hearing what they don't like about it. Same goes for clubs I haven't seen, since that's just more info for later if I end up passing through.

Dancers’ reviews are few and far between. We should encourage them. They are a different perspective and not necessarily helpful to customers in the same way a conventional review would be, but they are helpful. I’d approve a dancer review if it was different than a customer review. I’d still want it to be useful, but would understand if it was useful in a different way.
