the scruffy look.

mr.wonderful to single moms and college age girls...
ok i'm 67. the 'scruffy' look has been fashionable for quite a number of years now in celebrity and fashion photographs. i generally try to be clean shaven. but lately sometimes i might go a few days between shaves. my grey beard seems to resist the blade much more than any new dark growth. now ... as to the difference that it makes... especially with the ladies.... i honestly have NOT seen a difference in their interest and interaction with me. how about you?

The scruffy look, like skinny jeans and spiked hair, tends to look better on younger men, and terrible on older men. And it doesn't look good on younger men, either.

Ooh boy, maybe that means I'm not really old yet. I get lots of compliments on my scruffy look.

Young men, especially tall, good looking, athletic men can look scruffy and still be babe magnets. Old men can't get away with that. You can walk around scruffy, but don't expect any attractive younger women to approach you in any environment.

At 63, I'm always squeaky clean and clean-shaven when I hit the club. I need all the help I can get!

I'm late middle aged and I've gone more scruffy in recent years in terms of shaving and level of being dressed up. I haven't noticed any adverse change in how strippers or women in general react. However, I may not have shaved or be wearing the nicest clothes but my body, hair and clothes are all clean and I brush my teeth. I think a "scruffy look" is not inherently a problem but being a slob and a stink bomb is fatal to getting the response one seeks from the stripppers.

I'm in my mid-30's and I don't let myself go too long with the scruffy look. I usually shave every other day. But, I also make sure I am completely clean-shaven before I head out to a strip club. Whether I'm clean-shaven or I've gone a day or two between shaves, I have not noticed any difference in the way women treat me. I think what has been more of a factor in regards to hitting strip clubs is that before I go to the club, I shower and put on clean clothes. I dress nicely, but not too fancy. Lately, my strip club attire has been a polo shirt, khakis and brown dress shoes. I also put on cologne, so maybe that is a factor, too.

I prefer her to have that scruffy look over being clean shaven.

no doubt cleanliness is still next to godliness.

i'm really gonna try to pay attention to the ladies interactions with me over the next few weeks.

i always shave before i go, but i have wondered about going with a couple days growth. I have a few gray hairs working into the beard now so I tend to err on the side of shaving. There are some women who like beards or the scruffy look though.

As long as you're clean, smell nice and have money, I don't think they'll care.

I never wear cologne but dancers often compliment me on my scent. I think what they're smelling is several layers of perfume from prior dancers.

Another of my famous t-shirts shows a silhouette of a stripper and the caption reads "I smell like strippers". Haven't decided if that is a good or a bad thing?

I consider your shirt to be a good thing. IMO, any stripper that will be fun to hang out with has to have at least a little a sense of humor.

If you're young and/or in-shape anything will look good on you; if not nothing will.

^^^^^^^ I think the issue is being in shape. I think being young is not as important as some want to make it out to be. And lots of young people are not in shape.

I plan to have a shirt, special for Atlanta, "Sorry, if I smell like strippers have been sitting on my face", and with the silhouette of the girl on pole.

I've had a "shadow" for a few years now that I trim several times a week, although I clean shave all of it off about once a month and let it grow back. Wife hates it but has learned to live with it.

I get more compliments when I have a shadow than when I am clean shaven. Most babes like it when the shadow is grown in about a week. After that it grows into more of a beard than a shadow for me and I can trim it that close to match what it looks like after week 1.

In my twenties early and late because of my job in retail I was very clean shaven and I was more in shape than I am now...I was also broke...

Lots of older stripper loved my baby face and would give me plenty of attention for my budget

Early thirties I got way out of shape, deep depression after divorce and Shit and dressed like a slob with a mountain man beard...even with a little more money I could tell I was repulsive to most of not all stripper's

Now that I'm 36 I've taken better care of myself mentally, spiritual, monetary, relational and other parts of life

I sport a clean shaven head...well trimmed beard that's faded into my bold head to look good...I dress a million times better...still out of shape but not like I was....plenty of money due to just managing smarter

I've noticed lots of positive responses and for the first time since my late twenties I think I can date strippers again...yes the response from some strippers and civilians ate getting that good to me again

    Note to take from this

Beard or not...young or old...just take pride in it and practice good hygiene and it will work

The scruffy look on younger guys help the guy look more mature to the woman and more attractive, assuming the shadow is not "patchy" and it s a long but not too long length (as to not be a beard). So she can see you face and read you facial expressions, see your head outlines better.

She she can already tell that the guy is mature, there scruff is no longer needed. She can already tell you are mature.

I'm getting to the point (39 y/o) where the dancers and my wife are boy looking forward to me getting gray. They can it "distinguished looking" and it an attractive plus. They already see the gray in my facial hair and can't wait for those dinstinguishes side to come it. I genuinely believe them.

And to be honest, I'm looking forward to it, too.

I guess that's why my trimmed beard is working so well...I have grey streaks in my facial hair

I always shave since I'm afraid if I grew a beard, I might start looking like Blackbeard minus the extra weird tied up hair. I dont want everyone afraid of me. Might be ok if I wanted to be a feared pirate but not ok if I want dances.

Scruffy look? Is that a real thing?

Hell, I thought it would be bad when I misplaced my razor a month ago....or was it two months?
