How much fun do you plan on having? Because your budget will vary wildly if you just want to take in the scenery, or if you plan on VIP dances with extras.

A two day WE trip of say a Friday and a Saturday, I'd budget at least $1,000. And even that might be light when you take in consideration flight, hotel, food and transportation and fun.... unless you plan on only hitting dives like Bogarts and Henry's.

If you are flying in, you can stay right around DTW. There are plenty of hotels close by (although not a lot of restaurants. But you could probably always eat at the hotel restaurants) And within a 10 mile radius SC wise, you can hit: Landing Strip, Flight Club, Bogarts, Henry's and even Playhouse(although I've never been it's just reopened a while ago I heard. No idea what it's like). All these clubs are an easy less than 10 minute taxi or Uber drive if you want to save on a rental car. The clubs in Dearborn are also not too far from this location (Cricket, BT's).

Now, if you want to venture out farther, I'd suggest staying in the Southfield area for a hotel, off of the Lodge and 696 freeway area. From this point you can hit Penthouse (expensive, but worth it, imo) and also Trumpps is close by. And if you want to drive or UBER a ways, you can hit Coliseum and Players to the East on 8 mile.

What weekend are you thinking of coming in?

I'd budget about $2.5 K. But I overpay strippers for sex.

If you hitchhike to Detroit there are no air travel expenses. If you sleep in a cardboard box on a heating grate there are no hotel expenses. If you eat out of dumpsters there are no food expenses. Just pay the strippers!

$50 at flight club will get you in the door and your first 2 drinks if you go at night. That's about it. ($10 - $20 cover, $10 valet, $10 beers).

Do a rental car. The guys here can probably fill you in the specific times of days this would best work ... Negotiate and tell the counter that you have an insurance claim through State Farm or some other big player and that you have a budget of $25/day rental car for a few days. I've heard it works but I've never tried it since I hardly rent a car.

Normally I just go at 3PM and straight up haggle with the guy at the counter. Most give in just to get something off of the lot. Using your own car from long distance travel is a chumps game (maintenance wise, IMO).

Don't forget to tell them you intend to take the car out of state. I think the car might be more time effective and maybe more cost effective than a bus. You might also consider AmTrack train. Thought those tend to leave/arrive at midnight 1AM, and I'm not sure you want to be wondering around the Detwaa train station at 1AM. :O

Well, think of Flight Club as the "A-Team." And right across the street (literally) is Bogarts... which I would consider the "Z-team."

Don't believe the naysayers about Bogarts. There are several attractive dancers there, I can highly recomend a few. Jack, I don't believe you can get your first drink at Bogarts included in the cover, I've never been offered that option, the cover is $5 and my Miller Lite is an additional $6.75. I've seen some hideous dancers at other clubs around the Detroit area, some should have retired 20 years prior.
