Somebody outed SJG and posted his real identity on here. There were a few threads about it and then they all got deleted. SJG must have contacted Founder and he removed him, to protect his identity.
It was an interesting development. What I found odd is that SJG actually posted some strip club advice in a thread made by a guy allegedly using SJG's real name ****** inSanJose. If that is his name how could he not suspect something and actually reply with advice?
@TheeOSU: Yeah I was wondering why he would have responded to those posts too. Reckless insanity? Not giving a fuck? Or a brilliant move of trying to create plausible deniability?... He seems to be taking it in stride though.
Shailynn, hilarious. Jsbach, I think it was calculated plausible deniability perhaps. Shadow and Mikey, I think the posts about Clackport's real name still exist too. So, I think SJG must have contacted Founder to get them removed and perhaps Clackport's and Alucard didn't.
There is no moderation here, but what like I understand about Tuscl is that founder or some other system administrator had the ability to remove a single Tuscl account and all the posts that go along with it, on a special request basis, or so it appears.
Yeah, I missed it too & seems most others did - good for SJG that he acted quickly - we can all disagree with others but certain lines should never be crossed
Several years ago a guy outed a ROB dancer. I can't remember now what she did to him, but he posted her Facebook page and some other personal details. An address or phone number maybe.
I thought that was a shitty move too. The board was somewhat divided on the issue though I think the majority thought it was wrong.
Several members, including myself, requested founder to remove that thread, but I don't think he ever did
This is just my observation from my limited time here: founder appears philosophically opposed to forum moderation (on individual post or individual thread level) but he appears willing to yield to system administration requests to "be forgotten" or to outright remove abusive accounts, which appears to have the side effect of removing all of the threads and posts associated with that account, while still keeping his philosophical goal of "no moderation" still in place. That's my take.
tl;dr : Don't ask founder to delete threads or posts. Ask founder to delete entire accounts.
Hey Timex, how much money do you want, to stop saying show club? I might be willing to give it to you. It's a strip club dude. You're not going there to see Cats or Pirates of the Penzance.
@TravelingGolfer: I'll throw in on that... If it was SJG'S real identity he seems to be a pretty successful guy. Doubt he's living in anybody's basement. I come away with a new respect for him myself. I too enjoy his posts simply for his unwavering dedication to one topic. I hope this doesn't screw up his life, or worse yet, make him stop posting. Outing somebody is an unbelievably dick move. If you have that much of a problem with somebody, ignore is a click away.
I, too, believe SJG didn't remotely deserve this, and wonder what kind of dark place the guy who pursued this must be in (although studies have shown that people who do this kind of thing are typically miserable people in general). And, if that really is SJG, respect for what seems to be a successful career. I have never remotely agreed with his approach or views, but who cares?
If it really was SJG, then fighting for poor people and minority rights coming from a white guy with a $2 million home is like saying Hillary Clinton knows how to relate to the working class and minority groups.
I wonder what a $2-million house looks like in San Jose - probably not as fancy as in most other areas in the country - but still he can sell it and buy a bad-ass house for less $$$ someplace else.
The guy posted was older than I pictured. Professional looking.
Connecting the dots, I imagine a guy who married a beautiful woman younger than himself who outwardly declared love for him but was largely drawn to his financial security. In the short term that can be a rush where it seems like everyone gets what they want, but in the long term it can create issues where the woman cares more about money and status than she actually cares about her husband. Especially for a guy who cares more about his ideals that conforming to social customs and norms.
Firstly, we don't even know if that was really him, I have doubts but if it is, an anarchist working for the man in a big paying conventional job is the epitome of hypocrisy! Some of you have a new found respect for him, to me he's still a creep, a hypocritical creep.
Not the least bit surprised that SJG is a successful tech worker. If you rummage through his posts, he has great tastes in music and has interesting things to say about science, math, tech (especially semi-conductors). The fat, gravy-eating-dude-image was always suspect to me, seeing as he was a competitive cyclist in high school. Always pictured him as Asian, though.
SJG has some nutty ideas about women, and I like @James' theory about the younger wife.
I can only say this and I am not defending his actions on this board, who ever did this is a bigger creep than he is, everybody here has a right to their anonymity, and that posting, if true is a major foul, and rest assured that this board would cease to exist if this became a regular event. So for all of you here who value free speech and wish to express a viewpoint no matter how distasteful it may be to another the same thing could happen to anyone here and I believe that it is a gross violation of our code here on this board. My 3 &1/2 cents for whatever its worth.
If that was truly him, I'm surprised he is an engineer. (Dougster thought he was a physicist, so he was a better guesser than me. I figured SJG to be a liberal arts kind of guy)
I once had an exchange with him regarding education and he argued that college is not supposed to be a path to a job. To some extent, he's right. But if any college major is "vocational training", it's engineering. So I'm really surprised by his thoughts.

Twentyfive, I am in total agreement with that. But his off the wall postings and comments are without a doubt a flash point for many.
I once a few years back posted my real phone number in a thread to let ppl know if they wanted to they could call me...no one ever did lol but a year later I did a Google Search of my number and this tuscl thread would pop up on Google as the number one source lol...didn't care to much until I got a real solid job...I explained my situation to founder and he removed it from online....thank you founder
Was afraid higher ups might get my number and Google it and find my hobby lol.
A few years before this I did have a GF find out about tuscl because I was non careless about how I did things. She actually created an account and trolled my ass on track and posted my FB shit that I eventually deleted and created a new account....that was the first time any one got a look at the juice lol
All in all its been fun and even I have learned a lil about using some privacy with my shits
Recalling the Troop-Doc Holliday incident, I always suspected (from hints I read) that Troop tracked Doc Holliday down because Doc used the same username on various other internet sites.
I guess that's a warning if you want to protect your identity
Ok, I usually ignore most of what sjg posts but thought sjg might be posting about his real name and went off his rocker the other day again skipping over most of what was posted.
Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering why someone would use their real name to post on here. On the other hand if it was a ruse to pretend to be someone else the guy knew to get the other guy in trouble... I didn't care.
I think founder is right to not try to moderate. When boards are moderated, then people get even more argumentative to prove that what they said is right, to defend themselves. So either just to avoid a horrible mess of work, or just by the principles involved, Founder has doe an outstanding job.
^ There you have it gentlemen. You can drop the respect and sympathy and go back to despising the creep without having any guilt feelings. As I previously mentioned doubting that he was outed, it appears that he just verified it.
^^^^^^^^^ Could there even be anything to ever out about one like TheeOSU? Looks like his is just the creep he appears to be. Being such a creep, who would even care to know anything more about him. Certainly not me.

I still think he's a bit twisted and coo coo for Cocoa Puffs, but I think we're all eccentric in our own ways..
Anyway, yeah, hopefully it doesn't damage his career. I think the info was removed quickly enough that he may be fine.

Come back SJG.
Dougster=SJG both of them= Random member= Dr.Phil and a slew of other accounts just incase some of you guys are to stupid to notice or figure this out
A twitter account from 2009 with zero posts if I recall correctly. Lots of this stuff doesn't add up but I never was or ever will be a detective.

Juice, I can assure you I have no other aliases -- well except for one famous political figure.
