  I can recall at least two different strip clubs I've been to that had essentially the same thing as you all have described lingerie modeling in a back room - the girl danced nude or nearly so and the guy was allowed to undress and masturbate but there was no contact allowed. Personally I'd find that pretty boring, I'd rather get a good LD. I've also been to strip clubs that have a separate room with a massage table. One such place also had a room with a hot tub. That's why I think TUSCL should include reviews of places like lingerie modeling and erotic massage studios because there's so much overlap of activities offered. How doyou classify a place that has a bar and nude dancing downstairs and upstairs there are separate rooms for laps, for massage, and for a hot tub? Or a place that's essentially a xxx bookstore but has a couple nude dancers in back and areas fro LDs and for private modeling? There are reviews for both places on TUSCL but not for any lingerie modeling studios, which I find puzzling.

  During a period of time of frequent business trips to Houston in the mid 90s, I noticed a lot of "spas", particularly out by Hobby Airport...does anyone know if these are/were "jack shacks"?

  Chandler, I can remember many (and I mean MANY) years ago having a salesman take me to a very nice restaurant in Florida that had lingerie modeling at lunch, and these girls were gorgeous and very scantily clad with no undergarments. I also remember a nice cocktail lounge in Washington, DC, where the waitresses and barmaids were all clad in very skimpy lingerie with nothing underneath. I always though such places were great fun. I wonder if any such places exist anymore? Probably too tame for today's tastes. But I'm still wondering what goes on in today's lingerie modeling places? Are they worth a try? There's one near South of the Border off I-95 in SC that was reviewed here but the review was apparently deleted because it isn't a strip club. Anyone been there or someplace similar?

  FONDL, my 80s lingerie girlfriend worked in a very similar setting, except the lingerie was not terribly skimpy, and I think she wore something underneath the bottom. I was frankly pretty bored by the whole deal - I was about 25 then, and my taste in bars ran to places a bit less sedate. A couple of years later, I heard she had moved to Las Vegas to "model". In retrospect, I'll bet anything she went there to strip. At the time I knew less than zilch about the modern strip club industry. As for what killed off that kind of modeling? Victoria's Secret. Today's lingerie modeling studios are probably a misnomer. Jack shack is the more accurate term, I suspect. They're places where a girl dances or poses at a distance, and the customer is allowed to jack off. Generous tipping may result in contact or extras. She's as likely to wear a bikini as lingerie. But, other than my Tampa experience, I've only read about it. They don't have those places around here.

  Corey, check out [view link] and Craigslist under "erotic" in your town. I always make sure a girl has several good reviews on TER by guys with several reviews. And I NEVER see a Craigslist girl unless she has reviews on TER. I've never gone wrong and found more then a few gems. Of course, this is all just make believe.

  I'm with Nigel. Strike that. I agree with Nigel. Strip clubs are a fantasy. The mystery is what will happen? You know what is going to happen with an escort. Both are good. When I realize I'm going to too many strip clubs, it's time for one of my favorite escort gals. Nothing like someone that wants to do everything in every way. It is also fun to go to a strip club with one of my escorts, have fun and then go home and have more fun.

  FONDL, I had two experiences many years ago that run the gamut. In the mid-80s, I dated a girl who was a lingerie model. She worked for an agency that held sessions every week in regular bars. They actually sold lingerie to the patrons. I never quite understood how she made that much money off of it (hehe). I went to one of her gigs once, and it was all very PG-rated - no nudity, no contact. Once around 1994, I checked out a place in Tampa that advertised "toy demonstrations". For a tip, I was invited to "demonstrate" dildos on the model, which was wild, followed by plenty of two-way contact, extras, etc.

  One escort I know (and actually dated for a while) started as a stripper, but said she was too shy and was not a good hustler. And she took it too personally when guys turned her down for laps. And a dancer at Olympic Gardens in Vegas who met me for an outcall later said she was trying to do less dancing and more escorting. As far as Koreans running the AMPs - I have seen some truly beautiful Korean massage girls in So Cal and SF Bay. Some give great massage and most really provide great service. There was one girl at a (now closed) San Diego area AMP that was absolutely the best - I think I would have married her if she caught me at the right moment.

  I enjoy a massage parlor visit over an aromatherapy place(fancy name for whorehouse)visit where there's no shower involved. At least with the massage parlor you leave refreshed but drained. Place I frequent the mosy is strictly HJ. There is a fullservice place but the attendents are usually not the best looking Koreans. Why are all the massage places Korean run?

  Several years ago I didn't even know what a massage parlor was. One day I decided to go to a strip club and it just happened to be next to a massage parlor. I was surprised when some Korean girls came out on the street and grabbed me and forced me into their club. They were nice about it but weren't taking no for an answer. I avoided them the next time by approaching the club from the other side and found out there were more girls waiting for me over there (another parlor that is). If a guy can actually get tired of females grabbing him, I was there at one point. I haven't been to a massage parlor since that time and do not plan to. I might consider a trip to a regular massage therapist though. As far as regular activities go, I don't keep track of how many times I've slept with this girl or that girl but believe in using protection. If I happen to be with a stripper and know she is a stripper, I'm a bit more weary of her not knowing how many guys she has already been with and get a bit nervous if she goes down on me without warning but it happens. I sometimes wonder why I even go to strip clubs but I guess I do because it's fun.

  FONDL: I've met met a few dancers for paid OTC and met a few escorts who used to dance. The last one I met was actually recruited by an agency right out of a strip club on amatuer night. I've also met escorts who say they could never get naked in front of a room full of strangers or that they think strippers are just c*** teasers and they could NEVER do that! Now can you see why I don't like to generalize?

  I've tried most everything once except escorts, and never needed to do any of it again. I used to like going to X-rated cinemas, more for the seedy ambience than the films. I download porn irregularly. I like the cheap hand-held stuff, not the slick stuff. I enjoy the intros but I lose interest once the sex scenes begin.

  Yoda, you raise an interesting issue. I wonder how many escorts started out as dancers, started seeing a few customers OTC, and decided to quit dancing because they could make more money as escorts. An awful lot of escorts seem to have dancer tatoos, if their pictures can be believed.

  Strippers better looking than escorts? Dude, you should see the last three escorts I was with! (two out of the three are ex-dancers BTW) Popular assumption seems to be that trying to get extras from a stripper is better than "gambling" on an escort. In this day and age, with websites, review boards etc, nothing could be further from the truth.

  I confess I enjoy all three of the above-mentioned activities, for different reasons. Strips clubs are about fantasy, AMP's are about being pampered (and sex) and escorts are about sex, period. I have to disagree with the last poster. At least in So. Cal, for the amount of money easily spent in a club, you can spend an hour with a stripper quality escort (looks wise). By the way, I'm not married and not looking for a relationship. I think I would limit myself to the SC's once I became seriously involved with someone.

  I tried the escort and massage parlor scene several years ago but didn't like it. The girls at the strip clubs are so much better looking and sexier that it was difficult to get in the mood for the other girls.

  Yoda, I like to generalize because it helps me to understand how things work, and without generalizations it would take far longer to make the little decisions that we all must make every day. But I also try not to take my generalizatins too seriously and to remember that there are lots of exceptions to any generalization. Generalizations are about odds, not certainty.

  It sounds like you guys had better luck with escorts and massage parlors than I did, although I think it may be that your escort/MP scene is better than where I am at (Tampa, FL).
