Crabs, Pedophilia, or What?

ilbbaicnl
Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
What is your best guess as to what's behind the current fad of shaving off crotch hair.

You talking about with dancers? I think dancers feel most customers like to see it shaved. 99% of the dancers I see have it shaved. Even in the real world I don't like to go down on a bush.

Emulation of pornography, and It's not a fad. It's been like that for a while and I don't see it changing.

I prefer it trimmed rather than completely shaved, but not a fan of full bush.

Crotch clear-cutting goes beyond porn or strippers. I'm just wondering if there is some rationale for it. Or did some random person somewhere start it, and it became so common because of monkey see, monkey do.

Wonder on, Ilbba, it's cause the girls like it. Ask them.

yeah I am sure someone knows the name of the first woman to shave her pussy. WTF?

Do you not like the look of pussy and prefer a hairy mess?

One of my faves has a narrow "v" of pubic hair above her pussy. It's attractive, but I prefer full removal. 50 years ago when I had my first taste of pussy, no one shaved, waxed, or trimmed and after DATY I'd always have a few pubes left over for floss.

Yeah the "some random person somewhere" part makes your sarcasm seem doltishly out of place.

I like landscaped bush. It's better than either overgrown jungle, or clear-cut razor burn.

You're the one asking men, why women prefer to shave their pussies, Speaking of doltishly out of place.

Maybe you should think about where your asking the question, or go back to posting more weird ass questions about mancows and what not.

"Crotch clear-cutting goes beyond porn or strippers."

Yes it does, but I still think Pornography is the main reason. Porn is basically pop culture and a vast majority of women have fully shaved vaginas. This of course would spread to not just strippers and other porn stars but also regular girls/women. Agree with it or not, its a perfectly plausible explanation. I don't mind a shaved pussy.

It's hardly a "Current fad" at this point. The first time I can remember seeing a shaved pussy in a strip club was about 25 years ago!

Latest contender for the lamest argument on TUSCL: exactly how long does a fad have to last before it's lasted too long to still be a fad.

Even though I'm a man, I know why women wear menstrual pads during their period. Ime perhaps you personally are 100% ignorant of women's motives. But it's incorrect for you to assume that no man might be aware of women's motives for doing something. And of course, we do also have female participants here.

I'm not convinced the majority have no or minimal pubic hair. I think that, for many women, the only pubes they make sure to remove are those that would be seen when they wear their bathing suit.

Claiming that most women clear-cut is not an explanation of why they do it. It's a reasonable hypothesis that the trend started in porn. I think there are still many women (even younger ones) who have little interest in porn. But their lovers probably watch it, and may request that they shave. But that's not a full explanation of why the trend exits. Why did it start in pornography, and why did viewers want to imitate the practice in real life? And ime please don't rant about how I should not expect you to know the answers to these questions. I would not even pressure you to be aware of the distinction between your ass and a hole in the ground. They are more generally directed questions.

Based on my observations I think it's more likely that shaving started as a way of keeping pubes from sticking out from a bikini line and became a popular trend from there. The first American dancers I saw doing it all came from California or Florida and by far the largest proponents of the shave or wax at first were girls from South America. I haven't dated a civvie girl in many years so I can't speak to how far the trend has spread to non dancers and escorts.

I assume most everyone feels like I do, that it's really disgusting how long it took society to begin to actively deal with the widespread problem of pedophilia. I think scientific consideration has to be given to the possibility of associations existing between having hairless crotches and petiteness as the beauty standard, and incidents of pedophilia.

Ilbbiacnl you are such a moron you ask questions and then make snarky bitchass comments withiut providing a single shred of an idea. I dont care if you agree with my idea and no one said a majority of women are totally shaved you twat.

I think the pedophilia angle is way off personally. I think it has more to do with hygiene and just general looks.

Many women (not sure what percentage) prefer men to be trimmed or shaved as well.

Coo-el...I'll try to find a scholarly article on the history of pubic shaving in my free time. Or I could have fun doing something else...

If you want a serious answer, I suspect the combination of shaving/waxing bikini lines and influence of porn have promoted the hairless beaver. Pubic hair removal HAS been practiced in some areas for a while. I dated somebody who spent time in North Africa as a high school exchange and she sugared with the other girls in the house when there. Alas, she went back to bush upon returning to the states. But that was many moons ago, when shaving/waxing was uncommon.

If you look at soft core and hardcore porn there has been a trend first for trimming and later for going bare that began in the 80s, picked up in the '90s, and continues now. You hear about celebs doing it and I even had an employee mention that she planned laser removal about 10 years ago (excused myself since i worried that I'd make a joke that would fall under the umbrella of sexual harassment). If you call it a fad it has lasted longer than pet rocks.

Personally, I dig a landing strip!

I believe that it is an esthetic thing. Back in 1962 my GF was a dancer(Chorus line & Ballet). As we were about to get personal for the first time, she warned me of what to expect. As Yoda pointed out, It was necessary to prevent pubies from sticking out from the tiny ward robe the dancers wore.

Not exactly a current fad. It has been commonplace for the last 15 years or so that I've been frequenting clubs and with most of the civvie girls I have been with in the last 12+ years.

But to answer your question, the most common answers I have heard when I've asked why have to do with comfort and hygiene.

One of the reason that strippers shaved back when I first visited strip clubs in Ohio, was some stupid rule at the time where a club would be fined if any hair peaked out of the bikini, even in nude clubs.

One dancer used to have a nicely trimmed bush when she worked at a nude club with no lap dancing. When she moved to a topless bar with lap dancing I got a lap dance from her, I noticed she was shaved bare when she flashed her pussy.

I asked her about this and she said that the slim bikinis worn at the club required her to shave her hair short, otherwise her bikini wouldn't look right, and she could get fined. Closely shaving irritated her when she gave lap dances, so she shaved herself bare, plus it also let he wear very tiny thongs.

Ah... I suspect I'm not on Lowpaw's radar. She's into her thing and that's coo-el, but I don't find her antics that entertaining. No disrespect intended...just a comment that her posts aren't super-entertaining to me (I find 'em 'meh') and I suspect the feeling is mutual.

The comment was a general politically incorrect joke, not intended for Lowpaw per se (positively or negatively)
