A coworker of mine was trying to convince me that ultimately all strippers are whores. Agree or disagree? And why? This should be interesting....

You need to define the word more precisely.

No. But maybe I'm going about it the wrong way. But yeah, define a whore. My retired ATF let me eat her pussy and DFK but no fucking. So, that's not a whore by def.

Different people use that word to mean different things. Me and many others have no use for it at all.

My understanding is a prostitute engages in sex ( in any way, shape or form) for remuneration. I've often wondered how the courts have defined the act. When my SB and I were doing the horizontal mambo, frequently no money would change hands and frequently money would be given?, forwarded?, loaned?, and no sex would take place. Is a HJ sex? I know oral, vaginal, and anal all fill the bill, but how about s&m? Or a dominatrix? Why the hell should we care?

Since marriage s a contract where property and capital are involved, does that make wives whores with only one client?

There are levels of whores: 1. A common street hoe fucks whoever she can for money. 2. A Porn girl fucks who she is told to for money and shows her body to everyone. 3. A dancer fucks who she chooses for money, but shows her body to guys in the club. 4. A nasty girl fucks for fun but not necessarily for money. 5. A good girl only fucks you. 6. Your wife doesn't fuck anybody. So I guess dancers are about #3 on the bad girl rankings.

@pablo On the better side of the industry, porn performers negotiate who and what they are going to to. Seems like there's no definition of this word that isn't based on a hypocritical double-standard regarding sex for men and women.

Regarding the double standard, the Massachusetts legislature, in their infinite wisdom, passed a law a couple of years ago, increasing the penalty for "Johns" to better match those for prostitutes. Well, a review of the law's implementation, shows that the District Attorneys are ignoring it. Now, with publicity watch out. There'll have to be an example made.

I definitely think most but not all of them fit the whore definition. I had met a dancer that I thought was the rare exception. She doesn't smoke, she doesn't do drugs, she owns a house, she went to a major college university for two years, she is very nice and guess what she turned out to be a whore. How would you know that they're not whoring? Just because they tell you they don't do that stuff you're supposed to believe them? I put FS, BJ, HJ, DATY, Tittyfucking in my definition of whore.

Who are we as men to tell women what to do with their bodies or lives?

^^^Very true. Listen I'm not here to bash the dancers. They gotta do what they gotta do provide for their children, pay bills etc. I just wanted to start a discussion on something my coworker told me.

Another view from former prostitute/high class call girl: " What two words are the last words many women have heard just before being raped or murdered? "Slut" and "whore". These two words have been used for millennia to shame women from all walks of life. They have often been used to justify all manner of ill treatment, including rape and murder... While no one seems to know for sure just what constitutes a "bad girl," "whore" or "slut," we still ascribe enormous power to these sexist labels. I find it outrageous that we still classify girls and women as "good girls" and "bad girls"—as either "respectable" and worthy of our protection, or as "sluts" and "whores" who deserve our derision and punishment. It seems we still, as a culture, blindly enforce the Whore/Madonna dichotomy—even though it leads to misery for women of all ages. The ways in which slut-shaming and whore-bashing affect all women and girls are many and varied. Yet each has at its core the assumption that female sexuality is dangerous and must be controlled. Cyberbullying, a product of the digital age, may not at first seem to be related to something as archaic as honor killings, but slut-shaming and whore-bashing young girls until they commit suicide are brutal examples of the damage that is inflicted on women and girls by sexual shaming." And "I am a slut and a whore.." [view link]

I'm pretty sure that all of my current favs would be really pissed at being called whores, and I would be right there with them. I know that a few of the girls in their club do - they have pointed them out, and they don't seem to last more than a few weeks at this club. Several have left some of the downtown Baltimore clubs because of all the extras that were going on.

No, their not whores by virtue of the job. Even some whores are not whores - just victims of circumstances. The lying thieving whores are victim makers of others - male and female.

@pabloantonio: Redefining your list... bad girl - a prude. doesn't like or enjoy sex whether for love or money. see also, 'debbie downer' a really good girl - loves her body and loves to use it to enjoy sex with men or women for love and/or money. see also, Nature's antidepressant, natural healer, God's gift to the human race.

Guys on this forum are gonna say yes. Dancers on this forum are gonna say no. I think the definition of whore in this context is pretty self-explanatory. I personally have never encountered any stripper that was a whore that was at an upscale club. I have an ATF of sorts and she is married, is open about it, yet makes out with me in VIP but draws the line at that. I suppose some people would by the context of which "whore" is used here, consider her a whore. I don't.

Joker! You're a lot deeper than I thought.Yeah my girl loves her body, sex, money. She's unbridled when it comes to taking her clothes off. I don't think she is really bisexual, but she just doesn't care where sex comes from. She leaves the blinds open when we jam,and when I go out for a smoke I can hear her perv neighbor running away, and when I tell her she gets a kick out of it.

The difference between a girl who is a whore and one who is not depends on if what they do is moral or immoral. If a dancer sucks your dick, she's a whore you pay. If your girlfriend sucks your dick, she's a whore you love. If your wife sucks your dick, well that ain't happening, but she's not a whore because that's considered "moral".

Some are serious college students simply trying to grind through college. Others are single moms who doesn't want to fuck outside a relationship. The real college girl alone null and voids the word all. Maybe next argument your friend will win.

No not all. However if several dancers want to contest that, I might just get together and be proven wrong.

Any woman who trades sexual gratification for money is a whore. What sex act she performs just changes the level of customer service. It doesn't change the profession. A lot of people do things they aren't proud of to get by. The average dancer doesn't want to look in the mirror and admit she's a whore. That's why they try so hard to draw artificial distinctions between what they do and what other women do. I don't think it makes them bad people. It just makes them all whores.

According to Merriam-Webster, Who're is a deragatory noun from the Old English Hore or Old Norse Horre, adulterer. It can be either male or female. I think that the emphasis of the word is negative. Whore carries a stigma and negativity with it.
