Katy Perry Pokes Fun At 'Sesame Street' Ban

(NewsCore) - Pop star Katy Perry hit back at her ban from "Sesame Street" by appearing in a saucy sketch on "Saturday Night Live," The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

The show returned for a new season Saturday night, and while most viewers were buzzing about the appearance by New York governor David Paterson, there was an actual show to watch that included Perry.

The singer had a musical duet with Elmo cut from "Sesame Street" last week because she was wearing a low cut top in a spoof of her 2008 hit "Hot N Cold."

But she struck back with a sketch on "SNL."

In it, Perry appeared as a 16-year-old librarian on mock daytime talk show "Bronx Bea" -- and after walking onto the set wearing an eye-popping top, one of the hosts told her, "Looks like today's show was brought by the number 38 and the letters double-D."

In her second set, I found her modified Catholic school girl uniform interesting. It looked suspiciously like the outfits that I have seen on many strippers. I've also noticed the recent popularity of platform shoes. Heels with over-the-knee socks also look stripper-like. Do you think that stippers are setting the pace for fashions? What does this mean for the future? What's driving the trend?

On the Sesame Street gig, she was wearing a sheer top that showed very little actual skin. It's not like most kids haven't seen a boob or two when they were breastfeeding as well:

Now THIS is inappropriate, in the most pleasing way possible:
