Let's be honest everyone! It is not a career. I'm different, but I know that only one woman I danced with in 2004 is likely dancing. Most women who dance in the first place are liberal women who find it a quick way to make extra money while going to school or after their normal day job with a flexible schedule. Some others leave when they find alternative options in the sexworker industry that is more lucrative and flexible. For me, I was a little of both, but I also love the admiration and find it energizing to have men who just show their desire for me (can't get that at real work). I found a more flexible option but now do think it would be fun to have that exhibitionist rush of seeing a handsome stranger tell/show me how he feels about me. I think every woman has some small inkling of that desire.

Love all the answers and in response to TWENTYFIVE, anyone who has followed my career knows the menu is open, but as you say YMMV. I see how many of you refer to OTC (which I assume means off the clock or outside the club). I guess that would require a cost that a lady like me would require more than the backseat of a car. So I guess the question is what you'd be looking for and what is the budget (inside or outside the club) in your neck of the woods

Seems to happen to you guys a lot. Does it? I would think most clubs would not like that. Gives them a bad rap. I preferred dancing at smaller clubs with regulars (once every 2 weeks) where it would be bad to piss off a girl or a patron. If I ever did that to someone it would be a miscount. I prefer to get an extra tip for special service than for ripping you off. That said, girls see some pretty bad stuff as well.

I remember people I danced for 15 years ago. Some might have a unique look, but in the end it was how they treated me (conversation etc.). If you relate with the person over more than money and looks, it is easy to remember. SO if she says you all look like an ATM, then it is because you and she haven't been able to find a common ground.

It is better than the old days. There used to be a camera behind the doorman and some clubs captured your information on screen. They then entered it in a database. It is okay now as clubs become more professional and your information is not in the hands of a the underworld. Many of us dancers have to register in some jurisdictions so we understand..

I admit I am looking more from a dancer's point of view as to what clubs are around still that might cater more to older dancers who like a little thrill as opposed to the super young gals who are all about hooking a big fish for moolah.
