Warrior, Seeking might have done you a favor. Life is full of moving on and sometimes it’s a good thing if fuckedupness removes itself from your life. I’m not into Seeking but it sounds like the arbitrariness of the place and the hassle might not be worth it?

In all honesty, I am a land pig, though. I like my acreage and elbow room. The house itself matters less to me.

I live in the boondocks and my house is nice, but hardly a McMansion. I’ve never seen the logic in having a huge house as a status symbol. I don’t begrudge anyone if that’s their thing but it doesn’t appeal to me. The mortgage payments on a McMansion don’t appeal to me either.

Part of me is surprised and part of me is not. This isn’t the club where I’d most likely expect a shooting. But Minneapolis needs to get its shit together.

^PSD, that’s unnerving given that flights to Vegas have often been dirt cheap in the past. I haven’t been out that way in some time but it used to seem that they would damn near pay us to fly there.

I haven’t bought a new gun in 2022. For me, that’s saying a lot. I’ve also held off on some bigger purchases. For instance, my riding mower is very long in the tooth but I’m trying to limp it through another summer. I’ve also held off on getting a new vehicle with the crazy prices for both new and used as well as limited selection. In different times, I would likely be getting new-to-me wheels. I already cook most of my meals and use vegetables I’ve grown, deer I shot and fish I caught. So there isn’t much to cut in the food budget. As far as driving, I’ve shortened up two trips I’ve been planning but I’m still going to go. Driving for work is what it is.

Seinfeld, Cheers and some of the half hour sitcoms. The writing was generally good and the characters were funny.

I use the phrase “Turn of the Century” when I’m heading over Benjamin’s to a stripper.

^. I think IKB is pretty much on the mark. Personally, I’m in the “rest of us” category he referred to. While my personal decisions aren’t necessarily reflective of general behavior, I know I’ve cut back on my discretionary spending largely because I’d rather keep extra cash on hand right now due to inflation and the seeming volatility in economy in general. I got carownersvirus a while back and seem to still have the long version of it. Normally, I feel fine but the symptoms are panic and anxiety near gas pumps. It’s as much a psychological thing as a strictly financial thing but it makes me think twice before I make any fun expenditures. I still get to strip clubs at times just as I still stock up on the hot fishing lures or take in a baseball game. I just haven’t done as much of that in 2022 and don’t plan to.

If it truly is a turn on to the gal, I’d give her a facial but I doubt that’s often the case. So another +1 to what GMD said.

It’s a good list and I wouldn’t take anyone off. I also agree with Ishmael getting honorable mention and Endless Summer could charm the pants off every guy on the planet while melting his heart. I’d also add Cashman for honorable mention. His story about the rubber melting on the radiator is a classic. I’m sure I missed some good names but it’s a deserving group.

It’s on your profile, PSD, and it’s had comments. Good ones. I think you look awesome. For me, I like a gal who looks healthy. You certainly do and so do a lot of gals that don’t fit any certain mold. Hell, I like slender gals too when they look like it’s their natural build. Same with thicker ones. Same with every look. Another way I’d describe it is athletic. That covers a range of looks and if a gal has some muscle or curves, they sure as hell can fit that gorgeous look.

She’s attractive but wouldn’t be high on my list.
