I’ve lived in Ohio for 3 years now and quite honestly I don’t know a lot about Vance. In the 2022 elections he dominated the state except for the urban areas and the college towns. Looking at the election map, it’s a microcosm of the US. The whole state is red except for dots of blue in the high population cities.

Many would agree that most members of Congress of either party are corrupt POS. But Democrat Bennie Thompson from Mississippi might be the biggest POS of them all. Earlier this year he introduced a bill in Congress to remove Secret Service protection from Trump. And he employs radical staffers - one who tweeted that the shooter should have practiced more. That’s pretty disgusting coming from the staff of a political rival.

The shooter had been identifying as the as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20 year old GEN Z POS who had contributed to liberal progressive causes.

Couple of points I forget that the Gen Z, Millennials etc are shocked by this. It’s been 40+ years. By I grew up with the assassinations / attempts of JFK, RFK, MLK, George Wallace, Gerald Ford and Reagan It’s been since the 1960’s a long rifle was used. WTF. The secret service typically does an amazing job - but a huge breakdown.

I’ve said all along I’m not a Trump fan. I’m a conservative but not necessarily a Trump supporter. Now, between Biden’s dementia and this assassination attempt, I think Trump will cruise to victory and I’m happy for it.
