    TUSCL’s #1 Soothsayer!
    Holidays are for Hiliter!
Things always get strange at HL this time of year with Barret Jackson, Super Bowl, and Phoenix Open. More LE attention. Visiting dancers. Tourists. I tend to go on club hiatus this time of year.

    TUSCL’s #1 Soothsayer!
Inflation is Starting to “Drop Like a Rock”, leading to deflation.
Massive systemic and structural change has begun in the world and will play out over the next 5 to 10 years. China is collapsing, not just as an economy but as a nation. Sanctions have put the Russian economy on a glide path to failure. Europes business model, which relied on cheap Russian energy and the US paying for their defense, is no longer workable. Global trade, along with the concept of globalization, is declining rapidly. Onshoring of jobs is at a historic pace in the US and Mexico. The era of zero interest rates is over. Companies with business models that relied on zero interest will fail. In 10 years, the world will look very different than it does now. Inflation is just a byproduct of these changes.

Bank of America Chief Economist Michael Gapen tells @CBSNews stream prime time the US is probably past peak inflation but to hit Fed target of 2% is likely a “two to three year path” + US is more likely than not to experience “mild” recession 2023

I also liked Into the Night. A great, quirky little movie. I’d forgotten Jeff Goldblum was in it. I do remember Michelle Pfieffer was in it.

    USA should "Ukraine" China
Very quietly, manufacturing has been fleeing China at historic speed for the last couple years. Much of it is returning to North America ( high value added to US, low value added to Mexico ). Much is also going to Vietnam and India. China gets most of its energy and food imported by sea. They know that we could blockade them and literally starve them into submission within months. The real estate bubble in China has burst. Homes are sitting empty, people have stopped paying their mortgage, and new construction has ground to a halt. As a result of urbanization and the one child policy, China is aging faster than any other country. They will run out of workers by 2020. As Sun Tzu said, the best strategy is to win a war before it’s begun. We’ve won without firing a shot.

Goldman Sachs Expects “Significant” Decline in US Inflation!
“Then that portends that over the next 5-10 years the inflation trend will go back to normal.” Obviously. That’s like patting yourself on the back for correctly predicting the sun will rise in the East. What’s the point of this thread ? To state the obvious as though it took a master intellect to discover it ?

crossing clubs off your list of strip clubs to visit in the future
I’ve walked into clubs when I’m out of town and immediately realized it was a clip joint. I walked out as soon as I realized what was going on. That was before TUSCL.

    High end strip club
I was at HL not long ago and there was a stunning slender young new dancer. Easily a 9. Best looking girl I’ve seen at HL in a very long time. She was an actual ASU student who said she normally works at Le Girls. We talked for a long time before going to VIP. I think I was her only dance of the night. I got 4 dances for $100. She was mostly focused on scoping out the club, not earning. Would I have paid $400 for 15 minutes ? No, but I’m a little stingy. If that’s the level of talent at Le Girls, I can see some people paying it. If someone does that weekly, it’s $20,000 which sounds like real money to me.

Wait, VIP starts at $400 ?!? Am I reading this right ? I can understand pricing like this in NYC or Vegas, but how many customers would pay this in Phoenix ?

Goldman Sachs Expects “Significant” Decline in US Inflation!
Inflation may be receding for now, but investors should brace for another “spike” in the not-too-distant future, according to Scion Asset Management founder Michael Burry, who shared the warning in a New Year’s Day tweet. The hedge-fund portfolio manager, who shot to fame thanks to Michael Lewis’s “Big Short,” expects the dynamics driving the next inflationary wave will be similar to the previous one: the Federal Reserve will slash interest rates while the Federal Government doles out stimulus in response to a recession that’s expected to begin later this year.

“Hemingway was contemptuous of writers who, as he put it, “never learned how to say no to a typewriter.” In a 1945 letter to his editor, Maxwell Perkins, Hemingway writes: It wasn’t by accident that the Gettysburg address was so short. The laws of prose writing are as immutable as those of flight, of mathematics, of physics.”

The key word is useful. Every paragraph should contain a piece of information that is useful for future visits, especially about the dancers and the dances they provide. If something has already been discussed in prior reviews ( drink prices, hours, layout ), it is not useful.

Car Sales / Odd Lease Situations
Dealers only make a small percent of their profit from selling a new car. Something like 20%. They make more money from leasing, financing, extended warranties, used cars ( much better margins than new ), and servicing vehicles.

Car Sales / Odd Lease Situations
The Inflation Reduction Act changed the EV tax credit so it would only apply to domestic EVs. Under pressure from foreign carmakers, regulations now look like they will let EV tax credits work for foreign vehicles, but only if they are leased, not if they are purchased. So, we may see most EVs acquired through leasing going forward. Weird.

Craziest thing a dancer has done to encourage you to get a dance?
In Phoenix, the over the pants HJ, known as the stripper hand shake, used to be pretty common as they introduced themselves. It was how high mileage dancers announced their willingness. More recently, it’s very rare. Like, almost never. Maybe it’s just me ?

Example 1 “So, I and my friend went to the club last night. We usually don’t go out that late, but it was a special occasion. I ordered my rum and coke and thought about getting a baked potato……” Example 2 “There were 15 dancers, about 12 sixes, 2 sevens, and an eight. The eight was named Bambi and I got 4 VIP dances from her with great mileage……” I prefer the second example.

Goldman Sachs Expects “Significant” Decline in US Inflation!
I am increasingly convinced that we would be better off without a Fed trying to manipulate the economy. This cycle of boom and bust is largely a result of the Fed over reacting, both to stimulate the economy and pump the brakes to control inflation.

Fewest Ever Spent At A Club
The best time to go to BSC is during the day when there isn’t a surge of tourists in town. Even so, this has never been a club for high mileage. Plus, it’s always tough to get the attention of the top tier dancers at BSC. It gets its high rating because it is usually a 7-up club during the day and, outside the weeks when there are major events, the ratio of dancers to customers is typically 1 to 1. That’s because there are fewer locals willing to pay $20.

Wharton Professor Siegel Agrees with me, “Inflation is Over!”
Saying that inflation is “ basically over “ is a lot different than saying it’s “ over”. I contend that some things, like rent and home prices, will go down in 2023 while some things, like food and energy, will go up. If that happens, Mate could ( and probably will ) argue that inflation is “ basically over”. Basically is one of those weasel words that lets prognosticators cover for their inaccurate predictions. In 2022, inflation was 8%. In 2023, it will be a bifurcated 4%. Now, that’s a prediction.
