In much of Italy, a Mediterranean diet of fresh vegetables is typical. In the US, it’s pasta and pizza for Italian Americans. It makes a difference.

If you post a dancer’s name and your experience with them, there’s a pretty good chance they’ll figure out who you are. If so, good luck with your next visit.
It’s my preference to treat dancers with respect. As a result, I get much better service and attention during future visits.
That works in real life too. I was always friendly and respectful of the secretaries/assistants of executives I met with. That courtesy paid off 100 fold. A lot of my competitors never learned that lesson and never realized how much business it cost them.

Another factor is competition from a wide range of sex industry businesses other than strip clubs. Unlike strip clubs, these largely operate under the radar of community do gooders and require far less to start up. The strip clubs operate at a disadvantage.
A specific example of this is online porn, including only fans, etc. This is especially true for younger generations whose social life takes place online.

Thanks Chili. I went on my tourist season sabbatical and I needed to sort prices out on the back side. I know VIP is only $5 more but it feels like a psychological threshold has been crossed.Especially since, as I understand it, Hi Liter’s portion has doubled. It just doesn’t seem right.

In some cities, and clubs, VIP pricing is a high dollar fee for 15 or 30 minutes.I assume that’s what you’ve experienced in San Francisco.
In most cities and clubs, including most Phoenix clubs, VIP pricing might include an entrance fee plus a higher fee per song.
In both cases, VIP dances occur in a separate area from the public floor. The degree of privacy varies. So does the amount of dancer contact.

If you don’t mind, could you describe the overall attractiveness of the dancers that afternoon. I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth the long drive to check it out. I tend to prefer slender dancers and it’s my guess this club may not be for me.

From my one encounter with him, I believe everything he claimed about sex in the club. His direct approach worked. He also was willing to spend what it took. I’m just not that bold or rich.

Oddly, one of my best strip club experiences was a few months ago when I had a half hour conversation with a drop dead gorgeous stripper about philosophy and world travel. After that we went to VIP. It was memorable.

We find something enjoyable at strip clubs we don’t have in real life. What that something is varies from person to person. It could be as simple as a 60 year old seeing a pretty 21 year old. Or, it could be deeply psychological.
Similarly, why does a woman strip ? Because she gets something she couldn’t get in a more traditional job. It could be as simple as quick money. Or, it could be daddy issues.
Somehow, the strip club brings us together. There is no one answer.

“What does he look like? Wonder if it's anything like my mental picture of him”
I saw him in a Phoenix club once. He was sitting next to me and acting like you’d expect Scrub to act. I didn’t realize it was him until I read his review from that visit.
Pretty average looking middle age guy. Treated dancers in a less than respectful way.

A few thoughts:
If you want value, don’t go on Saturday nights
If you are looking to become a regular, either of the club or dancer, don’t create conflict. Bouncers remember, Dancers talk, and waitresses decide what goes in your drink
Don’t get drunk at a club. Bad shit happens to drunks. ROBs, in particular, seek out drunks
Most customers who grab dancers, and especially waitresses, without their permission get thrown out. You got lucky. I doubt you’ll get lucky next time.

One of the dancers told me $25 but I didn’t get a VIP dance, so it could be wrong.

Spread some money around doing test dances. You’ll quickly know whether she is a keeper. Don’t hesitate to stop after 1 or 2 dances.
When you find a winner, make her a regular. Treat her well. Always get a few dances from her every time you visit. If she knows she can count on you to say yes to dances, she’ll always make time for you and treat you well.

One component of this traces back to when government employees were allowed to join labor unions. The unions full time job is electing politicians who will protect them. Government salaries, pensions, and jobs grow exponentially, increasing the “volunteers” who support the dirty politician’s campaigns. And, in Chicago, the teacher’s Union heavily staffs the ballot counting.
