Anyone ever get frustrated by beer selection?

I understand that beer is not the reason I usually go to a club, however I do like the more traditional "gentleman's club" definition rather than "titty bar" ya know? Leather couches, relaxing, at least head nod to upper class. I've seen a couple of places with nice cigar lounges.
Well I'm also a beer drinker and a bit of a snob about it. Why does every club I've ever been too have the world's shittiest beer selection? I know I'm going to overpay, and that's fine - that's this world. Just a decent craft can wouldn't be awful.
For reference in the NYC area, if anyone has a suggestion to try.

last commentI too am a beer guy. It wouldn't be hard to provide a decent range of brands, not just Bud, Coors types. A few good IPAs would be nice, a few good local beers too. I typically don't drink at strip clubs, if I do no more than 2. And comfortable chairs in The Room and decent seating in VIP & LD rooms would be greatly appreciated too.

Wonder if it’s a regional thing. A place I’ve gone to an Oregon have a very good selection. Of course we got micro brews coming out of our ears here.

I think west Coast clubs have pretty good selections

The issue is Budweiser owns so many brands they often only include those brands, Its just not titty bars seems to be the thing at any chain restaurant as well. My favorite beer is what the call the west coast IPA, and many places to not seem to carry one. BTW if any beer drinker has a chance visit the Stone Brewery in Escondido. Its beer heaven

I've never had a problem getting a Lite. Sometimes, it's a little skunks, but that's life. Since the Great Resignation, and now with Tariff/ import challenges, occasional shortages of imports and microbrews would not be unexpected.

I guess the theory is beer geeks don’t go to strip clubs?
I’m willing to bet some clubs have tried it but couldn’t turn the volume of the craft beers.
Bourbon selections always suck too.

I've learned to lower my expectations with drinks. I used to get frustrated not finding a whisky I preferred, or running into places refilling bottles, leaving them sit open for months, getting dirty glasses or other similar quality issues.
Eventually I just switched to drinking beer and I'm pretty flexible with my beer. I'm content with the mass produced stuff. Every now and again I'll notice someone drinking something interesting and order one for myself, but I view it as a bonus when that happens.

Probably, but not me.

I went to Capital Grille and was frustrated the servers didn't show enough titty.

It would have bothered me before I discovered my gluten intolerance🫤 Actually, if they have Red Bridge Lager (a Budweiser product), that's a very good gluten free beer.

There ought to be a law! Every strip club should sell KUNTSMANN beer. Imagine a family name that epic and they put on their beer. Valdivia Chile for the win.

I get it, OP. I love a good craft beer and agree that they're hard to find in the club. I don't think it's just an NYC problem, it's hard to get a good beer at any club.

My local club only has 1 IPA and it's $2 more than the other beers. At that point, I'd rather just get liquor.

I can live with a Guiness in a titty bar.

They all have the basics. Modelo is everywhere.

my first choice is definitely not a beer. I will get a beer if the promotion is for a free beer. or if it's a screaming deal and I'm hanging with others that do enjoy the estrogen filled beer.

===> "Bourbon selections always suck too."
I've definitely been to some clubs that have better bourbon options if one wants to pay the freight. But I can't remember ever going to a club that has a wide selection of craft beers.
Which kinda' makes sense tbh. Beer goes bad but liquor doesn't. A club can leave a high end bottle of liquor on the top shelf for years, but if they can't sell the beer they have to pour it down the drain.

I've got frustrated by the stripper selection.

Problem solved. Drink a good old-fashioned macrobrew.
Lite. Sinc-weiser. Coors. Michelob.
Trust me, ain't no stripper gonna be impressed that you're drinking a Japanese beer with Chilean hops brewed in Rwanda.

Coors? Might as well drink bud light.
If you want to impress strippers with drinks get a bottle of casamigos or don Julio.Hennesy does the same on a Budget

While alcohol is not the primary reason I go to clubs, I do have high end taste in liquor and beer. I also have varied taste and have top and bottom shelf options at home. There are a number of widely distributed beers that you can usually find at least one to have a decent option at club. May not be my favorite but it’s enough to satisfy my (secondary) drink needs while I address my (primary) T&A needs.

It is probably not worth the overhead and cooler space for them to order several cases of dozens of craft beers. They will go out of date before they can sell them all. I am more worried about the stripper selection than the beer selection.

when I order a beer I order a Dos Equis... because I am the world's most interesting man.

actually... in Mexico I order a bottle of Indio cerveza.

Sometimes they’ll carry a craft beer mass produced by the big beverage company. We got 4 peaks local craft bought out by anheuser.

I can remember back in the 60's drinking some home made beer. It was so horrible that they only way we could drink it was to mix it with store bought beer.

Before it got wiped out by Helene, our local club had half a dozen craft beers on tap and cheaper than regular restaurants and bars. They also had some higher end bourbons as well.

Most of these places I never trusted that they cleaned their lines regularly - or ever - so I stuck with bottled beer over tap. But as I've aged I've switched to liquor.
