Founder, can you fix whitespace?

@founder, I hope you were able to connect with a few other PLs in Vegas last night.

If you're not too hungover, do you think you could look at whitespace on the site? Whitespace is currently currently pretty broken. This seems to be a problem from reviews, to articles, to discussions, to DMs. I'm seeing this problem in Firefox, Chrome and Safari. As an example, my Monger's Guide to Spanish is pretty much useless and unreadable without the white space separating the translated phrases: tuscl.net

In this post here, I have double line breaks in between each paragraph, but when I post it, it will come out like one big paragraph.

In other words, there should be a space in between these two lines below:

V----V

^----^

The other weird spacing thing new that I'm seeing is that summoning someone by their user name injects a line break into the sentence. Like this sentence, when I summon @founder, it will add a line break in between.

Let me know if I can help test or debug it. 👍

Hmm, I'm curious on the greater than character. I used it in comment in another post and it didn't show up when I posted. 🤔

This line should be preceeded by a two gt signs This line by one

The > char is useful to indicate a quote. Like:

Or what about with dashes -

Not to be a crybaby or refund seeker, but any chance we can have whitespace/line breaks back? It's a little thing, but it really makes reading much easier.

Hey... @founder... any updates on (re-) fixing the white space on the site? And perhaps some other fixes for Markup such as Blockquote and Lists?

I'll have a new article and some reviews to publish soon, but I would hate to publish them in this state. Long content is virtually unreadable here now without the paragraph breaks.

@RonJax2, I strongly agree that this needs fixing. . In the meantime, before you submit your next article and reviews, wherever you want a space between paragraphs, hit enter, put a period, and then hit enter again before your next paragraph. That seems to work well (see above).

Yeah, hmmm, I wonder if an empty blockquote like > will leave a space? Let's see:

^ Is there a space above?
. The problem with these work-arounds is that once markup is fully styled on the site, then the text is going to look really silly. And I feel like founder is so close, like many markup features are working fine like italics, bold, and code. .

It's like we're so close! All we're missing is the white space, block quotes, and ordered lists!

I just noticed there is whitespace in the pending reviews and articles pages. Kinda curious why not elsewhere.

Also, not the same thing but anyone else see the "0" between pending articles and log out on the left hand menu on desktop?

Two surrounding asterisks will make a **word or phrase bold**, use *one asterisk for italics.* You can strike through text by surrounding it with the two tildas ~~like this~~. Surrounding text with a caret ^like this^ will create superscript. Surrounding a comment with the grave accent character will render it like a `block of code`
