Founder has taken a free speech position against locking old threads. We all know who the necrothread trolls are and can double check the original post dates when we see they left the most recent comments.
Like that one time I got band from looking at TUSCL in a Kinkos on a desktop computer while sitting in my underwear on a folding chair. Those employees are so uptight.
Question for shailynnape - were you jackin’ it in the Kinkos?
This rick can understand your confusion. They may call the place Kinkos but it turns out it is not actually a place where public jackin’ is appreciated. Who knew? ROAR!!!
Also, this rick thinks there are classic threads that should be bumped every few years. My brother the dugan posted “the system(TM)” and everybody should read that shit. ROAR!!! ROAR!!!
(the system warrants a double ROAR!!! because it’s double brilliant)
There are some classic posts and topics that may have good reason to be bumped, for the benefit and enjoyment of everyone. You wouldn't want to put a block on your brain that erases memories over a year old, right?
On the other hand, it can be used by certain assholes to disrupt the board and annoy everyone.
Not sure what the answer is, but I think any brainstorming or suggestions should focus on a way to disable the assholes rather than diminish content.
Orangeape, Imma just point out that the weirdo that did that appears to be named elmaniaco and he has been a TUSCL member for >10 years.
This rick finds it surprising that elmaniaco has only done one disruptive thing in 10 years.
I mean really, frickin’ Skifredo gets up every frickin’ morning and asks himself “what am I gonna do today?” And you know what his frickin’ answer is? It’s this: Imma drink a strawberry Yoo-hoo for courage, them Imma post some political shit in the front room of TUSCL and watch people reply while I jack it.
My point is that TUSCL can withstand the occasional thread bump from frickin’ elmaniaco. Hell, I’m surprised that the worst thing a frickin’ elmaniaco has done with his life is bump a few irrelevant threads on the TUSCL every decade. I suspect he is focusing his nefarious energy elsewhere. Perhaps he’s posting about politics in the my little pony fan club board. ROAR!!!

^ Founder is also generally against banning people but if they get too fucking annoying to too many people (e.g. desertscrub) he will.
Some old threads are relevant. But most are just bumped by trolls. Don't feed them. Its that simple
Band.

Sometimes a post is still relevant, even years later.
