What about Bing maps? It’s solid map maybe they don’t charge a fee. When I’m traveling the TUSCL map is legit. Otherwise you have to rely on google “Adult entertainment” to find SC’s and that’s gonna miss some spots.
Bing Maps was already suggested and may be the easiest to use. It should be noted that typically some of these applications do have an upper limit on how much they can be used, like 100,000+.
I typically don't rely on the GPS feature to find places. I just copy the address and add the locations in the GPS.
I'm surprised they are charging anything for GPS. My only thought is that it must be connected to the API service from Google, which does have charge fees.
If it's free, it's for me. But if I have to pay, it must go away. 😉
All kidding aside, this is completely understandable. But it will hurt. For me at least, this was the site's single most valuable tool in researching clubs in places that I travel to. Heck I even chose hotels based upon the clubs in the vicinity.
It is what it is I suppose. But for me at least the feature will be sorely missed.
That sucks Founder, thanks for the update. It was super helpful for me in picking a hotel for Austin next week, close to my work obligations and also within uber distance of clubs I wanted to see. I’d done the research a couple weeks ago and am good for this trip, but it was a reminder of how well the maps feature worked. Hopefully you can find a reasonable alternative.
You guys can still do this with the regular Google maps app. I honestly think the only reason they are charging the site is because they want more traffic on the actual Google app. It could be a targeted attack on an adult platform, but I doubt it.
I appreciate Founder for adding the features. I hope he can find an alternative.
I just put in "strip clubs near me" in Google Maps and was rewarded with a listing of clubs. It also worked when I input the city. Looks like that is an option.
I am very sorry to see the maps go away. it was my favorite feature and highly useful to me. However I understand the reasoning. That's a real dick move by behemoth google. Hopefully there is an alternative.

Try Mapbox, Openlayer, Leaflet.
