Are you a "regular" at a club but have cut back, or stopped completely? Just hang around here? Why? Gas prices? Overall inflation? Your favorite quit? Stocks down? Job loss? Spent your savings LOL? Wassup? Thanks all.

I think most people in the discussions spending hundreds per month. Some may have cut back, but not stopped completely. Maybe 10 years ago, you might have gotten dropped as a regular if you cut back. But it's much harder for strippers to play hardball with PLs now.

Some (me) spend considerably less than hundreds per month.

Spending more time trying to drum up consulting work and less time DOING (paid) consulting work.

I’m blowing more dough than ever - but having fun and no regrets. Prices are up for everything and I’ve grown comfortable with adjusting to the times. My spending has no effect on any other aspect of my life though. If it did though it would be the right time to reevaluate priorities Over a 30 day period I’ve had big nights out in four different cities (all work and one pleasure trip) and Las Vegas next week

Owning a large home has advantages and disadvantages. The cost of a new roof is a definite disadvantage. It has meant spacing out the time between visits. Ultimately it comes down to discretionary cash flow. If it slows down then trips to the SC need to slow down. Otherwise a hobby is now problem behavior

To answer OP’s original question though - stocks are generally up over the past 12-18 months. But the cost of everything is too - groceries, gas, rent, dance prices. Lots of lay offs in the workforce so fewer people out there have spare dough to spend. Especially those living in high rent areas like where you seem to be based on your reviews - southern CA. If someone was just ‘getting by’ on their income two years ago, they likely are just hanging on in today’s economy.

COVID eliminated the true day shift. Which would still be my happy zone. Favorite club went from open a noon every weekday to 3:00 pm on Thursday and Friday. Basically with a 1/2 vacation day you were unfettered by the wife for 4-5 hrs. any day you felt the need. Now the window is much smaller.

I'm going less but it's because my civvy roster has been booming lately for some reason.

Tbh sugar dating has been eating up most of my free time and discretionary spending.

Less clubbing, more escorts. Also home/appliance repairs when I no longer have a salary (retired) have become a concern.

This area has been progressively destroying the SCs in general, first the corporatization by Deja Vu (which is now complete, 100% of clubs in SF are owned by DJV), then the employee law that had a big negative impact on the local clubs. Then the pandemic happened, and coming out of that, there are no more dayshifts at any strip club!! I blame this, too, partially on deja vu -- if they didn't have a monopoly, I'm sure at least one independent club would open dayshift and soak in all the dayshift money. As a result, for several years now more and more of my "lewd and lascivious fund" has been going towards SBs instead of the strip club, and now spending on the two isn't even close anymore. I'd go back to balancing the two if even one decent dayshift opened up, but it looks like that's unlikely to happen, and I only make occasional nightshifts, which means they tend to be one-offs rather than developing CFs, OTC, etc

===> "As a result, for several years now more and more of my "lewd and lascivious fund" has been going towards SBs instead of the strip club, and now spending on the two isn't even close anymore." Things went south in a hurry here too once new county licensing requirements kicked in over the Summer. Some of the best girls left and many of the rest are being more cautious for fear of doing something which could get their licenses revoked. I was already splitting my money more evenly between SBs and the clubs when this happened. But once the clubs got so much more boring, most of my remaining club fun time spending transitioned over to SBs. Nowadays, when I hit the club, I'm not even motivated to hunt for OTC. Why bother? For what I spend for a hot stripper for an hour in a hotel room, I can spend on an equally hot SB who will socialize with me for hours over dinner and drinks and then give me even better (more natural) sex. Even better still, the SB comes without all the flakiness and hustling. I hate to say it, but the thought of OTC with a stripper now feels like a step backwards. Like I've said before, outside of government antagonism, IMO the rise of sugaring is the biggest existential threat to clubs. Granted clubs serve a broader range of income levels, but the top 20% of clubs customers probably account for 80% of a club's income and those are the guys that sugar sites are also targeting.

Two-thirds of Americans can't afford a $500 emergency expense. The savings rate right now is 3.5%. Inflation is not under control and won't be for possibly a few years. About four years ago, seventy percent of Americans said they live on a budget. In 2023, eighty-five percent of Americans said they live on a budget. Businesses that people traditionally spent their excess disposable income on are hurting. I am going less, not because I can't afford it, but because it is just becoming less fun. The clubs are emptier and don't have that party atmosphere that I love. Dancers are more mercenary/conning than ever with less cash coming into the club. To make up for the lost volume, some clubs are knocking up dance prices to $40/$50 per song. There are other options out there that are providing better bang for your buck.

If you’re living on a budget or concerned that your strip club spending could jeopardize your ability to pay your bills, then you probably shouldn’t be going to strip clubs. I’m going to clubs less these days, and when I do, I’m definitely spending less. I’m not sure why - I suppose I have other priorities. And when I do go to the clubs, it’s usually a quick visit, where if I don’t see anything I like, I cut my losses and head home. I just hope I’m not growing out of this adolescent phase of my life where a hot naked girl can cause me to make bad decisions.

I am going less for a couple of reasons. The main reason is that I have a couple of regular OTC girls right now in the two cities I usually do most of my clubbing in while traveling. I am also in those cities a lot less now that my job has drastically cut back on travel ever since they got comfortable holding remote meetings and training during Covid and realized how much they were saving without all of the travel expenses.

My club options at home aren't great, so I spend most of my fun money traveling. Hotel prices have skyrocketed since covid to the point where it's almost better to just plan a trip to Europe or Thailand. I suspect traveling strippers are also traveling a lot less, or at least they aren't traveling solo anymore

I have cut way back even going to Tijuana. with all the new rules that Hong Kong and cascada/ rizo have put into place it ain't the same that it used to be and prices are higher too!!! what the h? so instead of going every week like I was for the last few years I go once every three ormaybe four weeks now.

I still need to develop the civie girl opportunities however.

@Jas, from what I've heard, large blue cities are best for having something with a civvie chick, that's not more trouble than it's worth. But, also from what I've heard, you still would be better off with sex workers. And large red cities are best for sex workers. Their rent is much lower, so they can give you a break on the rate.

Like rickdugan and Subraman, for the last year or so I've been concentrating more on my sugar thing. She's a former dancer, but in her "civilian form" she's definitely not your typical dancer personality, though she used to be very good at that role when she did it. I do still hit the clubs every once in a while to keep my eye out for when she inevitably kicks me to the curb, but I don't spend a lot of money there. I have my eyes on two who seem like they are, if not open, at least not yet outright rejecting the thought of doing more. We have fun in the club, or at least I do, and they both know that I have someone who keeps me busy elsewhere. Neither of them reacts with anything like disgust, either. I tried the seeking route before the setup I have now, and I frankly just don't have the patience to deal with the fakes, flakes, hookers, scammers, spammers, and psychopaths that seem to be 98% of the responses. Filtering through all that was just exhausting. I even tried expanding my search area to Cinci, Bowling Green, and a few other relatively nearby KY locations without much luck. I expect the market here is less than productive for the women as well.

I believe that strippers-turned-SBs are the best scenario. Online sites require too much weeding through scammers/flakes/non-connection. With SCs, you can use as a type of speed dating scenario to find some good ones, then flip them to the outside for less rushed and less costly experiences. These are the scenarios that yielded the best experiences for me, until I tire of them and need to go back to hunting for the next one.

I'm still hitting the clubs very occasionally. That said, my CF became my ATF, who has now essentially become a regular SB. In the past, I've leaned towards variety, but that's less of a priority now. I think that's got a lot to do with how easy this is compared to reeling in new dancers. She's smoking hot, not a lunatic, and knows exactly what I like (and does it very well...). She never asks for "loans" or tells sob stories. She's dependable. She's also great to hang out with. At the same time, we're both clear eyed about the nature of the relationship. No one has fallen in "love". It sort of feels like I've got a great thing going here and I'll play it out to the end. And once that happens, I'll hit the clubs more.

Going to clubs less because: 1. Do not have a CF to entice me 2. Talent is less than impressive where I frequent 3. Closest club to me is woefully unsatisfying 4. Because of #3, 3-4 hr commute to greener pastures is killing me both in time and related expensed

@C.M.I: "At the same time, we're both clear eyed about the nature of the relationship. No one has fallen in 'love'. It sort of feels like I've got a great thing going here and I'll play it out to the end." That's pretty much exactly where I am with mine right now. It's different from the years with my ATF, where we *did* fall in love, but we have fun.

^ Amazing what boundaries can do to facilitate success. Threading the needle is difficult, though.....you need enough chemistry to want to hang out; but not so much that feelings develop.
