Pimps. Have you ever had dealings with them? Please share your experience.

drewcareypnw
not the real drew carey, but I play him at strip clubs...
I've seen these guys working a few girls on the local strip, but have never knowingly spoken to one. I've seen them in documentaries and there is a cosplay pimp on a certain discussion board I frequent, but that doesn't really count. I am interested in your experience of these people. Sometimes I get the sense there is a lot more talk about pimps than there are actual pimps.

The most successful criminals are the ones who don't get noticed.

I’m not sure there’s this cosplay character on a web site I post in but I think he’s really a sock poppet from the real pimps of Beverly Hills, or maybe Huggy Bear, from that old tv show Berretta.

In the old Cheaters and Wild Zebra they were pretty out in the open. Most clubs don't want that, so they usually work "off site."

Years ago, at the Cadillac Lounge. I was actually looking at leaving when a dancer made me an offer that I thought was a bit much (she was pretty, but not my favorite). She then brought the price down without me asking, and I said, "Yeah, that sounds good." She replied, "Okay. I just need to run that by my accountant. He's right over there." She pointed towards a guy who had definitely not attended a conventional accounting school.

So, at that point I stood up and told her that I was done for the night (which I was) and left. She shrugged it off. On a certain level, I know that pimps are out there. That said, it kills the mood a bit when it's blatant, at least for me.

It's too broad a term. Pimping has really changed over the years.

Traditional pimps are rare. But has evolved to where he offers her protection and flips her money. That's one of the main things that lures girls. If he can turn her 1k into 5k...

There's basically legal pimps. "Managers" who manage a "dancer" "models" "bookings" with some legit photo shoots or videos in between for appearances.

    Boyfriend pimps are very common.

    Gorilla pimps are unfortunately common.

What attracts girls is they feel taken care of and safe. Accepted. And they see the money they make and what they can get with a bit of money management. It can be a positive experience for a girl but usually isnt.

Right now. The worst thing is human trafficking. That's the main reasoFigueroa. LA stopped arresting hookers for just being out on figueroa. Pimps pose as tricks and kidnap girls. Force girls to choose up if they want to work there. And there are so many underage girls that girls feel old at 20 snd many go to el Monte or elsewhere for safety reasons and because of the.competition.

In Vegas metro is having a hard time with pimps because girls who work the strip are being forced to choose up or end up beaten robbed. Kidnapped and trafficked to other cities.

But if you're in a major city very few girls don't have pimps. Although of course they won't tell a trick they have one.

Fine point - but Huggy Bear was the pimp on Starsky & Hutch

Rooster was the pimp on Baretta

But that’s ok. I know all 70’s black character actors
    look alike

There's some we'll reviewed vegas clubs on here where pimps are pretty much there. Checking on girls or trying to recruit. They don't look like 1970s caricatures like some on here imagine them

At a phetto-ish club here, now closed, I was sitting with a dancer, and nearby a very pretty young AA dancer was being gassed up by a "sharp dressed man", talking about how they could make a lot of money together. He was really doing the hard sell, so I interrupted him, and said to his victim, "you know he's a pimp, right?"

The dancer I was with laughed out loud, the dancer he was talking to looked surprised/scared, and the pimp was pissed.

Many years ago it was not uncommon to see pimps in the seedier clubs. And no, I never dealt with them directly, nor would I touch any girl who I saw fraternizing with one.

But so much has changed since then. Many clubs have become much more sensitive and less tolerant to it. Everyone has smart phones and is on social media, with ample resources and information at everyone's fingertips. Relationship dynamics between men and women continue to change. When you mix all of that up, it has made dancing and clubs in general less and less conducive to the old pimp/ho model. It's been at least a decade since I saw an obvious pimp/ho dynamic in action in any strip club that I've visited.

I'll let others speak to the street walker and call girl scenes as I don't patronize them. My experiences are strictly club-related.

Another interesting thing you see is girls choosing up temporarily. Like she'll have a pimp take her to a few cities once every few months. That's more often of free will than say girls working the strip or figueroa who are coerced or forced to choose up
  • Icee Loco (asshole)

You also get pimps taxing girls. Robbing other pimps. This is especially true with gang related pimping like in reno and the bay area

Icee how exactly is a pimp turning a girls 1k into 5k? Whats the mechanism is that a lie they say or does it actually happen? Pimps actually take a cut of the girls money so if they’re increasing income it’s likely just if they find them new clients.

And the boyfriend pimps are in a sad situation, they’re usually loyal to one girl who they tolerate doing OTC. More of a housemaid type thing than an actual pimp.

    What is a gorilla pimp...?

Many years ago my friend wanted to get me an escort as a gift. He booked did everything for me, gave me cash. It was a backpage girl, i got up to her hotel room, was too scared to go in, so went back out to my friends car. We went back up near her hotel room, but i didnt want to go in. He was trying to convince me to go in, we were in the lobby area maybe on the 10th floor at 2am.

The elevator opens and this big tall black guy comes out, maybe 6’4 or 6’5. Not a bodybuilder but decent shape, bald, in his 40s or 50s, wearing a loose fitting sweater and athletic pants.
He oddly walked around the entire lobby area, walked across all the rooms, then oddly circled behind us before coming up to face us, then asked if we had seen a little doggy running around anywhere. We told him no, and then he said something i cant remember and went back to walking through the hallway. He didn’t seem genuine asking about his doggy, and it didnt make sense for his doggy to end up on a different floor.

We left while he was walking around and left the hotel. I think he thought we could have been cops, so he wanted to cover his ass for explaining why he came to a different hotel floor at 2am. He either came to the 10th floor from a different floor, or was in a nearby hotel. The escort most likely called him for help since 10-15 minutes had passed by and nobody came to her room.

In the movie "Taxi Driver" in the original script the pimp was black. The director, Scorsese, switched him to white. This may have been to avoid appearing to be a rightwing racist engaging in a negative stereotype involving blacks. The pimp in the movie was not a likeable character. The actor playing the role, Harvey Keitel, asked Scorsese to find him some real-life white pimps to study for the role. Scorsese had a great deal of trouble finding some. Almost all pimps in New York in the seventies were black.

I think a lot of pimps are black. But one of the best known pimps with girls at the venetian in Vegas and in El Monte California is a 24 year old Iraqi. Stereotypes aren't that true.

And when it comes to girls who actually choose up because they want a pimp. They just tend to be very submissive and see it as being taken care of and loved. They don't want responsibilities. Some with boyfriend pimps will actually groom him to be a pimp.

It's complex. But usually not what people think it is. Like on here guys try to minimize human trafficking or pretend like hookers with pimps are rare when they're the norm.
  • rickmacrodong

Boyfriend pimp is an entirely different scenario... usually just a boyfriend who agrees to let his girl do otc because he wants the money or needs it.

What do you mean girls who choose up?
Choosing up usually means choosing one pimp over another. You seem to be using a different definition of it?

Pimps die out anytime prostitution becomes legalized. With strippers and onlyfans etc they have already died out drastically and turned into boyfriend pimps.

The only time I have personally run into a pimp was at one of the old clubs in Covington KY back in the late 90's when I first started going to strip clubs. I had gotten a few dances from a girl and as I got back to my seat afterwards a middle age man in a suit came over and sat at the next table and leaned in to talk to me. "I see you really like Bambi (or whatever name she was using)." Thinking he was just a customer I replied that she was a lot of fun and then he told me that "she works for me and for $200 you can have some real fun at our apartment down the street."

I immediately got up and left because at that point I was new to strip clubs since I wasn't even actually 18 yet but even then I knew I didn't want to get involved with anyone working for a pimp. It was a real shame because if she had made me the same offer without me knowing about the guy I would have jump at the chance. I saw him around that club and a couple of the other seedy clubs in Covington over the next few years before the city ran out all of the clubs from the town but he never approached me again.

One of my favs told me her dad was a pimp. She said her dad's women would have been worse off without him. He help them get much more benefit from their work than they'd get being on their own. She said her dad's #1 was a family friend, and remained so even after she stopped hooking.

    @drewcareypnw

I will play along and comment on your discussion.

Q: Pimps. Have you ever had dealings with them? Please share your experience.

A: I have seen two in Los Angeles, at a couple of urban strip clubs, they have approached me to offer their services, on getting the stripper of my choice for take out, but I declined and they left me alone.

Pimp is a noun, arguably from French origin defined as one who provides others with the means and opportunity of gratifying their sexual lusts.

In the 20th century America and beyond; a Pimp is a criminal, in the city, who preys upon young girls, very often underage runaways.

A pimp would approach the runaway and sweet talk her to make her believe he will help her and take care of her, but eventually make her believe she is completely dependent on him, often by getting her hooked on drugs and the lifestyle, sometimes would beat her and make her afraid of leaving him.

The pimp will put her to work in prostitution as a street walker, or even as an escort.

In the actuality the mainstream entertainment industry, for profit, glorifies pimping and the sexual exploitation of women by men that portray themselves as gangsters, drug dealers and killers, like Tony Montana in the movie Scarface.

Many young men want themselves to be seen as Original Gangsters, from the Hood and want to dream about being pimps and have many hoes.

And want to put girls in a “winning team”, as they call their imaginary “gang of one”.

I didn't deal with that too much or encounter that too much. But the dead giveaway is any guy that talks about being with a girl in some weird relationship and managing her money, and yeah, they will talk about using a dancers' money to flip it aka drug deals. So what icey said seems accurate to me.

I have noticed that a lot of dudes that don't have an issue with drug dealing also don't have an issue with pimping, but they aren't all automatically doing both. Just something I have noticed over the years. It took me a while to figure this out because I am not the type to try and hang out with drug dealers/criminals in the club, cuz I don't wanna be associated with them when sht goes south and it sure does occasionally.

The most common thing I've personally seen at every single fucking club is girls with a pimp of a boyfriend. It is usually some loser that forces his gf to work a lot to bring in the money cuz he's a parasitic and abusive POS that can't or won't bring in the bread aka not a real man.

Some drug dealers are good spenders though. I remember one gave me either just over or just under 1k to hang out with him at his table, and he only got a couple of dances.

I’ve never been outright pitched by any pimps. I know they exist in San Antonio because I’ll overhear conversations when I’ve been in the dressing room at the club and some dancer is clearly talking to one.

I also remember the time I was still kinda a newbie, and some dancer walked up to me and asked me whether I was independent. And I was really confused. So she asked me what else I did, so I said I was in school. And she said, “no, I mean what else in this industry”. And I gave her a blank stare and she told me that I was a really pretty girl, and then walked away. I remember being confused and asking about it on stripperweb and then that’s when somebody from there tipped me off that it was an attempt to recruit me. Whoops.

I mean I think everyone has made drug dealer money that's stripped for a minute. I do not go up to them though unless they are straight up giving me money basically. So I guess I do not completely 100% avoid, but mostly yeah. A lot of the drug dealers annoy the fuck out of me too once they open their mouths.
  • Icee Loco (asshole)
Dancers are more likely to try ti be recruited by other hoes rather than the pimp himself. Also they'll use the money to buy drugs and then have the girls sell drugs.

But a lot of them are too stupid to make it work.

The easiest approach is have a few girls pay like 20% to a guy. He pools the money and buys coke. Then has them sell it in the club. 1k can become 10k pretty fast that way. But most are blinded by pussy and lack discipline. That just leads to drama.

But a lot of these girls are so into the game they show their feelings for a guy by letting them pimp them. They see choosing him as an intimate gesture.

I know a guy who dates stripper hoes and became an accidental pimp. It started with girls buying him chains. Wanting him to look fly. Then moving in. Paying all the bills. Giving him money. Then bringing other hoes into the picture. It's not uncommon.

But there's a lot of lowlife shit too. Like some will have girls steal from other girls then try to sell IDs and everything.

With drug dealers. Fast money has to move quick.

But most are idiots who don't last long

  • ilbbaicnl

Never known of a case of straight-up pimping. What I've seen a lot is the stripper has an SO, often physically and/or emotionally abusive, who feels entitled to freely spend the stripper's money.

Then again, seen that with couples where neither was a sex worker.

Many years ago - when I was single - and young - an old high school friend invited me to his bachelor party. I knew him to be less than an impressive man, as he was built like a Vienna sausage.

This guy was living in a tiny bungalow near one of the lakes in western NJ. The best man arranged the entertainment - and it was very uncomfortable sitting in a tiny room with a bunch of guys watching a VHS porn tape. I decided it was time to leave when the best man asked me if I wanted to watch gay porn with him.

On the way out, I see this drugged up girl walking on the dirt path down towards the shack. There’s a rough looking guy with her. The funny part is the rough looking guy was wearing a bad toupee. I decide to signal the girl and the guy to let them know where the party is. They get to the shack and the guy gives the girl a few hits of party favors before she puts on her show.

At this point I’ve decided I’m not going near the gay best man - or the bachelor - so I just hang by the door and chat with the guy who brought the entertainment. I just make small talk, about how difficult it is to find this place. After a few minutes, I can see he’s got a holster. I ask him if he’s security or her manager. He tells me he does everything for this girl. It is already late - close to 3 in the morning - and he’s taken her to two parties already. This is his last stop before he takes her home.

The entertainment was a bust, as the bachelor was a closeted gay guy (who was having a relationship with the best man), so he had no interest in filthy used pussy. At one point the girl tried to do a split - and accidentally kicked one of the partiers in the stomach. I found it more fun to talk with the pimp, as he was getting tired and he was annoyed having to deal with the girl for the whole night.

^ I haven’t encountered this yet. I’ve been to a few swingers parties in NJ, and they were pretty strict (regarding the men they would allow in).

I understand how it could easily occur, as couples and single women are usually more desirable groups to attend these parties.

Yes and I don't want to go into details too much. The last time I wrote about pimps and their girls, I had a brand new anonymous account in my messages threatening me and another brand new account messaging other members about me (sounding concerned and asking where I work/my work schedule). Also one of the reasons I no longer identify as a breakfast food on here and now as gum.
