Well in ancient times men had both wives and concubines. Many kings had mistresses (many married) that bore them children.

My philosophy - I would get rid of a toxic wife but keep a good SB. If a man is young and just out of school - get a good SB first then take your time shopping for a wife. The relationship crap and soaps on TV sell but the reality is the 50 pct divorce rate.

If we're talking PLs who do extras I would assume most are in category 1 or 4. Categories 2 and 3 just seem like they would be pretty rare, especially 3. For PL's who just do dances then OP's distribution might be more reasonable.

i know a lot of guys that were under #2. that significantly changed due to something called divorce. a couple of them even had their wives cheat on them.

#4 for me all the way. i value personal freedom to the max. if #1 is real important then may i suggest adopting a pet and stockpile on boxes of chocolates.
