Out of sight out of mind - the politics group should be made to where one only sees the threads by enabling that group, vs being lumped in with all the other groups by default.

Talking politics isn’t only about influencing opinions, it’s about sharing information.

Take the Voting advice from Joe Biden thread that I started up yesterday for example. Another member here forwarded me the article at the base of the thread via PM.

It wasn’t an attempt to influence me. I guarantee we were already going to vote for the same people at the national level. But what the Gallup poll behind the article says about the state of the country and election is fascinating.

I believe this place is better with open discussion than with restricted discussion.
