Game winner? Strikeout? Punt return? Buzzer Beater? My favorite sports moment is my favorite because whenever I think of the phrase, insane rage, I think of George Brett.
Detroit Shock vs LA Sparks WNBA championship game. Sellout at The Palace. Detroit, who had finished the previous year as the worst team in the league, had an infamous new head coach, Bill Laimbeer, who promised us fans that they'd finish in first place that year. They did. The LA Sparks, led by Lisa Leslie, were the 2x defending Champs looking for a threepeat. Their head coach was Michael Cooper. It was Detroit vs LA again, and Laimbeer vs Cooper again, and Detroit trying to stop an LA threepeat again. And I was a young kid lucky enough to be there and witness history repeat itself as Detroit beat LA. A movie critic would call that story too unbelievable, but I got to watch it happen in real life. It was magical.
I watched in person as Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr both scored their 50th goals of the season in the same game. Maybe not the greatest in history, but pretty darn special.🏒
Funniest thing about OP's pine rar incident was that Billy Martin had noticed that it extended too far up the bat several games before this one, and decided that he should save talking to the umps until it made a difference!😂⚾
I have a habit of seeing big Boston sports moments and not appreciating them. As a little kid, the Buckner ball; the hit that put in a little-known Michigan backup named Tom Brady; the tuck rule.

last commentDon Frye versus Yoshihiro Takayama. No finesse, no technique, last man standing.

I don't know why there's a number 1 there, it's supposed to say 2003.

Maybe not the greatest sports moment, but I watched KD hit the series ending shot in Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals in a strip club.
Good times.

Doug Flutie to Gereard Phelan, in Miami. Watching 50,000 people have a coronary at the same time was amazing.

No one likes Boston Sports. 2nd rate town with 3rd rate people. Bill Russell hated the place. Racists pricks.
