I have been a big proponent throughout this whole Covid ordeal of opening up things. I now have totally been thru the virus myself and still have that opinion.
I had a weekend with a Sugar Babe Jun 26-29. Well, she is 25 and went out drinking with some friends two days before I show up. By Sunday, the 28th, she had heard from her sister and a friend that went out that night that they were all feeling ill. By that time, I knew I was up the creek. I was exposed to Covid 19.
By the 30th, I felt lightheaded, had body aches, a light cough that persisted and some diarrhea. The cough and body aches lasted for about 5-6 days. But at no time did I ever think I needed to go see a doctor or go to the hospital. The symptoms were very mild. I had read that Acetaminophen was something that helped. I would pop a couple of those tablets, what little symptoms I had would go away. They just were not severe at all.
The testing was a difficult task. Even though tests are supposedly available, it did take me several days to set an appointment. The day of my test wasn't until July 6. That was the last day I had any symptoms. The test is AWFUL. They take a stick with a cotton swab on the end, jam it up your nose until they feel your brain. Then swish it around for a few seconds. Pull it out, then stick it up the other nostril and play with your brain for a few seconds. It was not pleasant.
I went into a self quarantine right away. Signed up for grocery deliver with the local Publix grocery store. Stayed in my condo for almost two weeks without going out. Only time I went out during that two weeks was to go get my Covid test. You think an 1100 square foot condo is plenty of room for one person until you get confined to it. Luckily my business is such that it didn't keep me from working at all. I can run my entire company as long as I have internet access and cell coverage.
Took forever to get the test results. Then about about a week after the symptoms went away, I set up an Antibodies test. That came back positive. So now I am Covid free and have the antibodies. I just got off the Red Cross website where I have put in a request to do the Plasma donation. I have to wait at least two weeks beyond when I last had symptoms to give the blood donation. So I can donate after Tuesday.
Do I think I infected anyone ? No I don't. As soon as the sugar babe said her sister and friend weren't feeling well, I went into isolation. I had only been exposed for a couple of days at that point. And have been wearing masks all the time anyway. I did have to cancel a trip to Tennessee so I haven't seen my family in about a month now. And my brother was scheduled to come visit me in Florida during that time. I called him right away and told him not to come.
The symptoms were really nothing. The worst part was the isolation so that I would not infect anyone else. I know Rick Dugan has said he tested Positive. Has anyone else taken the Covid test and gotten a Positive result. ?

Thanks for sharing, glad you are okay. Did you have any pre-conditions?
